On his way back to Lu from Wei, he suddenly saw lush orchids in the mountain stream, fragrant, associated with his unfortunate experience, he sighed: "Orchids should have been the fragrance of the king, but now they grow alone in the valley, can only be associated with weeds." Since Su Shi's time, literati painting orchid began to rise, and there were famous artists, excellent works repeatedly. Literati painting orchid, often sparse flowers and leaves, intended to lyric. For example, Zheng Sixiao at the turn of the Song and Yuan Dynasties painted a long scroll of Zhang Yu Mo Lan, and wrote: "Pure gentleman, no villain; deep in the mountains, the sky is spring." Cynicism is expressed in words. He painted countless orchids all his life, but only gave them to gentlemen, not to villains. A county magistrate forced him to draw orchids with his attendants. He said angrily,"The head can be obtained, but the orchids cannot be obtained!" The magistrate had to leave angrily.

Orchids are expensive as "national fragrance", people care for orchids, and regard the process of broccoli as the process of self-cultivation. But in my opinion, there are several kinds of people who are not worthy of raising orchids, nor can they raise orchids well. One is the impetuous person, neither aesthetic, nor understand "spring does not come out, summer does not day, autumn does not dry, winter does not wet" this "four to raise orchids", no matter how good orchids, to such people's hands will unfortunately die young. Second, those who are blinded by greed, these people dig wild orchids indiscriminately, pretend to be true, pretend to be good, and use people's love for orchids to sell their adultery. Third, the thick-skinned and black-hearted people, such people take bribes and pervert the law, and the "thick black" evil waves they set off are hitting our moral dams. Obviously, it is a small night, but for the sake of arty or showing wealth, a small pot of orchids is placed at home to steal the name of the world. This is really the greatest blasphemy against the "gentleman among flowers".
