Morphological features:

Terrestrial or semi-epiphytic plants.

Leaves basal, distichous, usually 2 Mel 3; leaf blade narrowly oblong, 15 mi 25 cm long, 2.1 mi 3.5 cm wide, apex obtuse and often fissured or emarginate, green, abaxially lighter in color, glabrous, base narrowed into stalks and folded, nesting with each other. Scape erect, 20 mi 25 cm long, purple, pubescent, apical 1-flowered; floral bracts suboellipsoid, 3.5 mi 6 cm long, 1 mi 1.5 cm wide, green with purple spots; pedicels and ovary 3.5 mi 4.5 cm long, pubescent.

The flowers are large; middle sepals yellowish green with 3 purple coarse longitudinal stripes, connate sepals yellowish green with purplish brown fine lines at base, petals yellowish green from base to middle and 2 purplish brown thick longitudinal stripes in the center, upper purplish red, lip yellowish green with purplish brown halo, staminodes yellowish green but purple spots in the center.

Middle sepals broadly ovate to very broadly Obovate, 4mi 4.5 cm long and 2.8 mi 4 cm wide, apex often mucronate, abaxially puberulent; synsepal elliptic-ovate, 3 mi 4 cm long, ca. 2 cm wide, abaxially puberulent; petals subspatulate, 6 mi 6.5 cm long, 3 mi 4 cm wide, margin (especially middle to base) undulate Labellum obliquely helmet-shaped, base with broad stalk 1.5 li 2 cm long; sac subelliptic, 2.5 cm long and 2 mi 2.5 cm wide, orifice extremely broad, 1 ear erect on each side, margin not inflexed in front of both ears, cyst bottom hairy; staminodes subelliptic or Obovate-elliptic, 1.2 mi 1.5 cm long and 8mi 9 mm wide, with navel-shaped protuberances in the center.
