The fine-scale oblique jaw is commonly known as Sagu son, yellow film, yellow skin, yellow tail diaozi and so on. It is the largest individual in the subfamily Miyaginae, and it is a kind of small and medium-sized edible fish widely distributed in rivers and lakes in China. Its meat content is high, the meat quality is delicious and tender, according to the determination, the viscera accounts for only 8% to 12% of the body weight, the protein content accounts for 22%, the fat content accounts for about 2%; it is easy to raise, easy to feed, has a wide range of food sources, and mainly eats natural bait. From the point of view of human consumption, it is a green and excellent fish species with high economic value.

In recent years, although the famous and excellent fish has attracted much attention, the fine scale oblique jaw has not been paid attention to. On the one hand, the waters with the fish are not well protected for reproduction, on the other hand, many waters do not release it. At present, there is a trend of eutrophication in most inland waters of China. Fine-scale squid takes sapropelic mud, scurf and algae as the main food, without adding feed. Stocking or mixed culture in water can not only increase the yield of fish per unit area, but also slow down the process of eutrophication. Therefore, it is of far-reaching significance to popularize the culture technology of squirrel, which is of far-reaching significance to make full use of natural resources, improve water environment and ecological prevention and control of water eutrophication.

The fine scale oblique jaw is flat on the side, the dorsal fin is high at the starting point, the ventral edge is incomplete, the head is small, the kiss is blunt, the mouth is transverse, and the anal fin is light yellow. Mainly inhabit the middle and lower layers of the water, adult fish feed on underwater algae and organic detritus by scraping the well-developed horny edge of the mandible, while young fish feed on plankton. The growth rate of 1-year-old and 2-year-old fish was the fastest, with an average body length of 160 mm in 1-year-old and 248 mm in 2-year-old fish.

The fine-scale oblique jaw usually matures sexually at the age of 2 winter, and the weight of the parent fish that matures for the first time is generally between 400 and 1000 grams. In the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, when the water temperature reached more than 18 ℃ in late April or early May, the parent fish began to lay sticky eggs at will, lasting about 2 months, and the average number of eggs per kilogram of body weight was about 200000 eggs.
