Cultivation Management and Modeling techniques of Chrysanthemum morifolium
Large potted chrysanthemum after scientific cultivation and management, its shape diameter can reach 2 to 4 meters, flowers can reach dozens, hundreds, or even thousands, large and neat flowers, so it appears elegant and gorgeous, proudly standing in the group of flowers.
Dali chrysanthemum has very strict technical requirements for cultivation and management. if the management is a little extensive, the flowers are irregular, the flowers are small, and even do not bloom and die halfway. It is more difficult to cultivate Dali chrysanthemum in Guangdong Province, which has a tropical and subtropical climate with many storms, high temperature and humidity. There will be an outbreak of diseases and insect pests after each storm, which increases the difficulty of cultivation. The temperature difference between winter and summer is large, and the light time is different, so it is difficult to control the florescence. Therefore, in Guangdong Province, it turns out that only a few big cities such as Guangdong, Zhongshan and Foshan can be cultivated because of their strong capital and strong technical force, and the local citizens can enjoy the magnificent and noble chrysanthemum. Through years of cultivation and management, we have explored the experience of planting chrysanthemum, which has been successfully planted in Zhanjiang City, so that the people of Hong Kong can enjoy this wonderful work of art.
Now the cultivation techniques and experiences are summarized as follows, for everyone to exchange and learn from each other, so as to promote the large-scale cultivation of chrysanthemum, so that people in more places can enjoy this plant.
I. selection of varieties
There are many varieties of chrysanthemum in China, but not all of them are suitable to be cultivated into Dali chrysanthemum. Large and medium-sized flower varieties with strong resistance, exuberant growth, developed root system, strong trunk, soft branches, long internodes, large and colorful flower heads should be selected. such as' green bead ball', 'peach mountain with cinnamon', 'Jinjinglu', 'fire dance', 'welcome spring dance', 'Junhe Baiyun', 'green red party' and so on.
2. Take buds and raise seedlings
The sprouting time is determined according to the number of flowers to be cultivated. If 800-1000 flowers are needed, seedlings should be raised in September and blossom in the second Spring Festival; if 600-800 flowers are needed, seedlings should be raised in November; if 400 flowers are needed, seedlings should be raised in January-February. There are two ways to take buds:
1. Foot bud
Choose the strong and large buds from the vigorous and disease-free plant base, commonly known as foot buds, cut off the buds with roots with a blade and plant them in a small basin with a caliber of 8 cm.
two。 Cuttings
Select the top of the sturdy growing plant, cut off the top of 7 cm long with a blade, dip it in rooting powder and insert it in clean river sand, drench it with 1000 times chlorothalonil solution to prevent bacterial infection. Sprinkle water regularly and increase the air temperature. Ten days later, it was planted in a small basin with a diameter of 8 centimeters.
In the initial planting stage (7-10 days) of the two methods, the buds should be kept in a shade shed and moved to the sun after growing normally. Apply fertilizer with the diluent of fully retting mature human urine every 10 days. With the growth of chrysanthemum seedlings, the concentration of fertilization increased accordingly. When the seedling is 12 to 15 centimeters high, change it into a clay basin with a diameter of 15 centimeters. When the seedling is 20-22 cm high, it is transplanted into a pottery basin with a diameter of 20 cm, and a solid round bamboo with a diameter of about 1 cm and a length of about 100 cm is inserted close to the plant. Tie the plant to the bamboo with hemp silk to make it grow upright. Be careful not to tie it too tightly, otherwise it will affect its growth.

Magnolia grandiflora field interplanting shrub
In the first 3 years of Magnolia grandiflora seedling growth, in order to make up for the shortcomings of large investment and no benefit output of trees planted in the early field, small shrubs can be interplanted, such as Buxus microphylla, Ligustrum aurantifolium, Berbernia rubra, etc. During the first three years of interplanting seedlings, 6000-7000 plants per mu, with an average of 0.5 yuan per plant, can obtain more than 3000 yuan, after the fourth year, Magnolia grandiflora has grown to 5-6 cm, at this time can be sold at intervals, about 80 yuan per plant. Every year thereafter, it is sold and has a profit. Cultivation points: Magnolia grandiflora 1 year
