The fragrance is strong, about 45 cm high, with yellowish leaflets and flowers shaped like daisies. Distributed in the uncultivated areas of Eurasia where vegetation is flourishing. Pregnant women continue to take small doses of hot soaking solution during labor to help with regular contraction.

Main characteristics

Cultivation method

Small white chrysanthemum is a biennial herbaceous flower of Compositae with a height of 15 to 25 cm, alternate leaves and one or two pinnae. Capitate inflorescences terminal, discoid, margin ligulate flowers silvery white, central tubular flowers golden yellow, bright colors, flowers 3 to 4 cm in diameter. The plant can blossom when the plant height is up to 15 cm. The flowering period is from late winter to early summer, and the flowering period is from March to May. It bears achene after anthesis and ripens in late May. White crystal chrysanthemum is short and strong, multi-flowering, early flowering, long flowering, dazzling cultivation, suitable for potted, combined potted ornamental or early spring flower bed beautification.

Small white chrysanthemum likes sunny and cool environment, lack of light and poor flowering. The suitable temperature for growth is from 15 ℃ to 25 ℃. The flower bed cultivation in the open field can safely survive the winter above-5 ℃, low temperature for a long time below-5 ℃, leaves frozen, withered and yellowed. When the temperature rises, it can still sprout leaves and blossom. White crystal chrysanthemum is not hot and humid. In summer, with the increase of temperature, the flowers wither faster and grow poorly over 30 ℃. Putting it in a cool and ventilated environment can prolong the flowering period.

Small white chrysanthemum has strong adaptability and does not choose soil, but it grows best in loose, fertile, moist loam or sandy loam. Usually culture soil to keep moist, must not be too wet for a long time, resulting in rotten roots, affecting growth and development. During the growing period, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer was applied every half a month, with a ratio of 2 ∶ 1 ∶ 2. White crystal chrysanthemum has many flowers and its florescence is very long, and it also needs to replenish phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in time. After the flower fade, if there are no seeds, you can cut off the residual flowers at any time, promote the lateral branches to produce new buds, increase the number of flowers, and prolong the flowering period.

Small white chrysanthemum is propagated by sowing, usually from September to October in autumn, and the suitable temperature for germination is 15 ℃ to 20 ℃. When sowing, mix the seeds with a small amount of fine sand or culture soil and sow them on the seedling bed or seedling tray. The thickness of the covered soil should be no seeds, keep it moist and germinate for 5 to 8 days. After the seedling is grown, topdressing is applied slightly to promote the seedling to grow healthily, grow 4 to 5 true leaves and then move into the seedling bed or nutrition bowl to cultivate. Although the white chrysanthemum is hardy, it is best to put the seedlings in a plastic greenhouse or cold room in winter, let them continue to grow, water and fertilize them timely, remove the buds in time, promote them to increase the crown diameter, and move into the outdoor or flower bed in the early spring of the next year, which can increase its ornamental effect.

Key points of cultivation

Key points for pest control

The tender stems of chrysanthemum plants are easily attacked by aphids. If aphids are found, they should be controlled in time.

(1) 2.5% rotenone, 150ml per mu, sprayed 500times diluted with water, flowers can be picked after 7-10 days.

(2) imidacloprid 10g / 15g, sprayed with water 5000g / 7500 times, and flowers were collected 7-10 days later.
