Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The optimum temperature for piglets to grow was 3430 ℃ at the age of 3 days, 30 ℃ at the age of 7 days, and 25 ℃ at the age of 30 days. If the temperature is low in winter, the following measures should be taken to keep the piglets warm. 1. The fence house should do a good job of cold prevention and heat preservation before winter, repair the doors and windows in time, and fill the holes and seams of air leakage. In the open farmers' pig house, the wind curtain with woven cloth or feed woven bag should be used to cover the position of the wind direction, so as to reduce ventilation as far as possible and prevent the north wind and Rain Water from infiltrating directly from the outside, so as to increase the temperature of the pig house.

2. When the sow is about to give birth, someone should be on duty to deliver the sow. One piglet is born and the other is delivered. Wipe off the body mucus immediately, place it in the insulation fence or in a basket with straw and other thermal insulation materials, cover the sack to keep warm, put it back to the sow regularly for breast feeding, and put it back to the incubator after feeding. It is only after 2 or 3 days that the piglet is allowed to take breast milk with the sow.

Avoid because the piglets are close to the sows for warmth, and the sows accidentally crush the piglets when turning over and lying down. If there are conditions, it is best to set up an insulation fence in the column, with a built-in 250 watt infrared insulation lamp or a thermal insulation pad, so that piglets can go in and out freely. This has a better effect on preventing cold and keeping warm for piglets.

3. Strengthen the feed supply, feed the sows with good quality and digestible enough feed, the use right sows have enough milk, and the piglets have enough to eat. In addition, it is necessary to improve supplementary feeding and feed piglets with high quality teaching trough and suckling feed in advance, so that piglets can supplement other nutrients in time in addition to breast milk, so as to improve the digestion and absorption function of piglets, increase disease resistance and cold protection, and piglets can grow healthily.

4. Do a good job of epidemic prevention and immunity in time. For common diseases such as pseudorabies, colibacillosis, classical swine fever, No. 5 disease, epidemic diarrhea, transmissible gastroenteritis and other diseases, vaccination should be carried out in time according to the immunization procedure, and routine disinfection should be carried out, spraying permethrin, bacteriological enemy, phenols, hydrogen peroxide and other disinfectants twice a week to prevent and reduce the occurrence of diseases.
