The life habit of onion thrips occurs 6-10 generations a year in North China, and the damage is the most serious from April to May. Adults are very active and can spread by the wind and feed strongly sooner or later or on cloudy days. When the temperature is about 25 ℃ and the relative humidity is below 60%, onion thrips are easy to occur. Storms can reduce the number of storms.
Prevention and cure method
The main results are as follows: (1) remove weeds and fallen leaves in the field, burn them or bury them deeply, and eliminate overwintering insects.
(2) strengthen the management of fertilizer and water to promote the healthy growth of plants.
(3) Pesticide control. Spray 80% dichlorvos EC 1000 times, or 50% phoxim EC 1000 times, or 20% butyl EC 3000-4000 times, or 4.5% cypermethrin 3000-3500 times, etc.
