Chujingxiang No. 1 is a mid-japonica medium-mature species, with a full growth period of about 170 days, maturing 3 ~ 5 days earlier than that of the hybrid line 22y2; the plant height is 100 cm ~ 105 cm, the leaves are slightly scattered in the early stage, the leaves become straight after jointing, and the tillering ability is weak; the spike is large and has many grains, 120 ~ 140 grains per ear, 80% seed setting rate and 21 g ~ 22 g 1000-grain weight. The grain is oval, the husk is yellow, awnless, the shattering is moderate, the rice is white, the rice has rich flavor, delicious taste and medium resistance to rice blast.

3. Adaptive range

It is suitable for planting in rice areas with an elevation of 1650 m ~ 1850 m in central Yunnan, and can also be planted in areas with similar ecological types outside the province.

4. Yield performance

In 1997, the yield per mu was 670.67 kg, which was close to that of the control line 24. In 1999, it was demonstrated in Yao'an County with an average yield of 685.93 kg, which was 7.21% higher than that of the control line 22mu. In 2000, it was popularized and demonstrated 680ha (10200 mu), with an average yield of 637.8 kg per mu.
