Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Epidemic characteristics: pig necrotizing dermatitis caused by necrotic bacilli, its infectivity is very strong. In the hot and humid weather every year, piglets, shelf pigs, boars and sows are prone to the disease. The disease occurred in the whole litter, and there was interactive infection between piglets and sows, but more piglets were infected by sows. At the beginning of the disease, systemic symptoms are not obvious, severe cases of elevated body temperature, less food or loss of appetite, emaciation, often due to cachexia and death, which is harmful to the pig industry. Features: first, red papules with large grains of rice appear on the skin on the body surface, often scratching, and papules recur.

Epidemic characteristics: Necrotic dermatitis caused by necrobacter, which is highly infectious. In the hot and humid weather season of the year, piglets, pigs, boars and sows are prone to this disease. The disease often occurs in the whole litter, piglets and sows are infected alternately, but sows infect piglets more. At the beginning of the disease, the systemic symptoms are not obvious. In severe cases, the body temperature rises, the appetite is reduced or the weight is lost. It is often caused by cachexia and death, which is harmful to@#@227@#@industry. Onset characteristic: appear on skin surface skin above all grain big red papule, often itch, papule develops again for the tubercle of dry scab, firm firm swelling. Then subcutaneous tissue necrosis fester and rapidly expand, forming cystic necrosis focus, hair loss, exudation, skin color white, tissue necrosis and dissolution in the focus, forming grayish yellow or grayish brown foul smell wound liquid, finally burst out, but the wound edge is uneven, wound bottom uneven; this necrosis focus often occurs in 4~5 places, more than a dozen places, even throughout the body.

A few sick pigs whose lesions can reach deep into muscle tendons, ligaments and bones, resulting in abdominal perforation and chest perforation; some limbs rot; some ears and tail dry necrosis; finally peeled off from its edge.

These lesions mostly occur in the sides, buttocks and neck of pigs, sows can also occur in nipples and udder skin necrosis, even mammary gland necrosis.

New treatment options:

1. For herds of pigs, quarantine sick pigs immediately.

2. Local treatment. Rinse necrotic focus with warm water, expose necrotic focus with brush, remove necrotic tissue, connect syringe with No.6 intramuscular injection needle, absorb 0.1% PP water and spray it on necrotic focus. Due to the itching of sick pigs, treatment does not resist.

3. Enema with sulfonamides. For the first time, the dose was 0.2 g/kg body weight, and the maintenance dose was 0.14 g/kg twice a day for three consecutive days. Operation: Use a small stomach tube to slowly pour cold water into the rectum of pigs to remove feces and cool down; after the water in the rectum is drained, grind the sulfadiazine tablets, dissolve them with 150 ml warm water and slowly pour them into the deep part of the rectum; pause for a moment, and then flush the residual liquid medicine into the rectum with 50 ml warm water; then press the tail root, extract the stomach tube after 30 minutes, continue to press the tail root for 1 hour, and then release, so that pigs can move freely. 10% sulfamide injection can be injected intramuscularly for prevention.

4. symptomatic treatment. With oxytetracycline hydrochloride injection, analgin injection, such as intramuscular injection.

5. Note the identification with scabies. Swine scabies mite disease occurs frequently within 5 months of age, starting from the head and then in the ears and eyes; bleeding due to itching, scab, hair loss is serious, and the epidermis is white and has deep cracks; take the disease material and find the worm body to diagnose it. It is a parasitic disease.
