Sea cucumber is a treasure in the sea, it is not only a precious food, but also a valuable medicinal material. With the improvement of people's economic level, the demand for sea cucumbers is increasing, and wild sea cucumbers have long been unable to meet the market demand, which is one of the reasons why the price of sea cucumbers has been at a high level. So if you have to be able to cultivate sea cucumbers artificially, what are the most basic conditions? Let's follow the editor to get to know it.

1. Hydrological conditions

The requirements of sea cucumbers for hydrological conditions are relatively high, especially for water quality. If the water quality is not up to standard, sea cucumber culture is doomed to failure. First of all, we should choose the estuaries or estuaries far away from pollution, and the second is that the content of ammonia nitrogen in seawater is low, the salinity in sea water is about 25 to 35, and the dissolved oxygen in water should reach more than 5 mg / L. These are the most basic hydrological requirements, followed by the fact that harmful substances in aquaculture water are lower than the national water quality standards. In addition, it is reasonable to build dams according to the tidal conditions; observe the precipitation and rainwater harvesting area to prevent land fresh water from entering the aquaculture pond. Finally, it is necessary to understand the changes in the water temperature of the local sea water and determine the depth of the pool.

2. Artificial reef

Reef is also an indispensable condition in the culture of sea cucumbers, and most of us use artificial reefs. The reef mainly provides a place for sea cucumbers to rest, entertain, live and feed. The most common reefs we use are stone reefs, cement pipe reefs, plastic pipe reefs and tile reefs. We build different reefs in different ways (specific construction methods can be consulted). In addition to these commonly used artificial reefs, there are also some other reefs, such as hollow bricks, cement slabs, waste tires, abalone cages, ceramic pipes, bamboo baskets, etc., all of which can also be used as reefs.

3. Topography and sediment

The topography and bottom quality of the farm are also very important. Generally speaking, sea cucumber farms do not choose places with high winds and waves, and the best ones are relatively gentle inner bays and coasts, such as rocky coasts, low-lying saline-alkali lands and intertidal zones. Secondly, when we build the farm, we also need to consider the wind, flood and other natural disasters, so as to ensure that the farm can be carried out smoothly. Finally, there is the problem of sediment, preferably reefs, rocks, or plots with silt or silt as the bottom, so that the aquaculture ponds can have sufficient load.

4. Biological environment

In fact, the biological environment mainly refers to the sea cucumber seedling base and the existence of enemy and competitive organisms. First of all, we should have artificially cultivated seedlings in the place where we build sea cucumber farms, because sea cucumbers are not suitable for long-distance transportation, so it is convenient to choose and purchase seedlings, which is a point in the biological environment. The second is to understand the impact of local aquatic organisms on sea cucumbers, to discharge harmful areas, choose areas rich in bait, this is another point of the biological environment.

The above four conditions can be said to be indispensable before the cultivation of sea cucumbers, and these conditions are also the most basic conditions for the cultivation of sea cucumbers. If none of these four basic conditions can be met when preparing for breeding, the success rate of sea cucumber culture will be reduced to a great extent.
