Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Coprinus comatus is favored by mushroom farmers because of its rich nutrition, delicious taste, smooth meat and large market demand. It has been widely cultivated in all parts of the country and has a very broad development prospect. However, the majority of mushroom farmers are often troubled by a kind of Xylaria racemosa (commonly known as chicken claw fungus) in actual cultivation. Due to neglect of prevention and control, some high-residue pesticides are randomly used until large-scale infection occurs. Not only has no curative effect, but also often causes pesticide residues in finished mushrooms to exceed the standard, affecting product sales. For example, in mid October 2006, Hubei Province

Coprinus comatus is favored by mushroom farmers because of its rich nutrition, delicious taste, tender meat and large market demand. it has been widely cultivated all over the country, and the development prospect is very broad. however, in actual cultivation, the majority of mushroom farmers are often troubled by a racemose fungus (commonly known as chicken claw fungus). Due to negligence in prevention and control, until there is a large area of infection, they are treated with some high residue pesticides indiscriminately, not only without effect. It also often causes pesticide residues in finished mushrooms to exceed the standard, affecting the products. For example, in mid-October 2006, five containers of edible mushroom products exported to Malaysia by a company in Sanligang Town, Suizhou City, Hubei Province, were returned because of excessive pesticide residues, resulting in a direct loss of more than 300,000 yuan, which is a lesson. With regard to some of the technical problems that the majority of mushroom farmers have called to consult, the answers are as follows:

1. Specificity: chicken claw fungus, belonging to ascomycetes, the pathogen has a strong specificity of infection harm, so far, only found that it is harmful to Coprinus comatus.

2. The disease condition: chicken claw fungus likes high temperature and high humidity, grows rapidly between 20 ℃ and 35 ℃, and decreases when the temperature is below 20 ℃, but it can still cause harm. The first infection condition of chicken claw fungus is mainly carried by soil. After 2-3 stubble of Coprinus comatus, chicken claw fungus began to emerge. Where the chicken claw fungus grows, the hyphae of Coprinus comatus gradually fades away, no longer produce mushrooms, or even no harvest, which is enough to prove its great harm.
