Prevention and control methods: (1) artificial killing: in the adult oviposition period, combined with seedling pruning, removal of egg blocks, buds, concentrated burning. (2) using black light to trap and kill in the adult stage. (3) when the larva damage is serious, spray 50% fenitrothion emulsion 1000 times, or 4.5% cypermethrin 2000 times; Bt emulsion 500x spray (note: Bt emulsion is strictly forbidden to be used at the same time with fungicides, the effect is better after 4: 00 p.m. on a cloudy day).

2. Big leaf yellow poplar inchworm

Control methods: (1) making use of the phototaxis of adults, light trapping was carried out in the adult stage. (2) spraying 50% fenitrothion EC or 4.5% cypermethrin 2000 times during the larval damage period. (3) to eradicate the egg mass during the spawning period. Turn the root soil in winter and kill the overwintering pupae.

5. Powdery mildew

Prevention and control methods: (1) select robust disease-free seedlings for planting. (2) from the first ten days of June to July, 50% carbendazim or 75% chlorothalonil and 50% carbendazim wettable powder were sprayed for prevention and reduce the incidence of disease, once every 10 to 15 days, three times in a row. (3) the fallen leaves will be cleared and burned in winter.

7. Stem rot of Euonymus tomentosa

Stem rot is a major disease of Populus tomentosa, which can cause the whole plant to die when it is serious. In 2012, the branches suffered the most seriously, the stem turned brown at the initial stage, the leaves lost green, the shoots drooped, the leaves did not fall off, and in the later stage, the damaged parts of the stem blackened, the cortex shrunk, the endothelial tissue rotted, and there were many small black sclerotiors. with the increase of air temperature, the damaged parts developed rapidly, and the bacteria invaded the xylem, resulting in the death of the whole plant.

The cause of the disease: the pathogen of stem rot in Daye Yellow Farm is half-known fungi, which usually live saprophytic life in the soil. With the increase of air temperature, the soil temperature also increased, and the pathogen invaded the stem of seedlings. Especially in high-temperature and low-lying areas, the disease is more common.

Prevention and control methods: (1) strengthen the maintenance and management of seedlings to improve their own disease resistance. (2) using fully mature farm manure as base fertilizer can reduce the incidence of seedlings. (3) Summer seedlings take measures such as setting up shade sheds to cool down, and large seedlings can use planting ground covered with plants or ground covered with grass to destroy the environmental conditions for the occurrence of pathogens.
