A new disinfectant Kesong Ling for silkworm

The development and promotion of silkworm disinfectants with high efficiency and low toxicity, broad spectrum of sterilization, stable properties, non-corrosiveness, low cost, simple and safe use are important topics in the silkworm industry all over the world. In recent years, many silkworm disinfectants have been developed and popularized in various silkworm areas in China, and many of them are restricted because of their unstable properties, strong corrosiveness, lack of broad spectrum of sterilization and so on. Kesongling, a new disinfectant for silkworm, is jointly developed by South China Agricultural University, Shunde Institute of Chemistry and Guangdong Silk Group Co., Ltd., which belongs to the Spark Program of Guangdong Science and Technology Commission. Kesporin is a colorless, tasteless, odorless, non-corrosive transparent water solution, which is not easy to decompose. This product contains 8% stable chlorine dioxide, which can dissociate chlorine dioxide under acidity (pH < 4). Kesporing has high bactericidal efficiency and broad spectrum, and has a strong killing effect on the pathogens of silkworm virus disease (NPB, CPB, DNV), bacterial pathogens (Ling bacteria, Stroke bacilli, etc.) and fungal pathogens (Beauveria bassiana, Aspergillus, etc.). At room temperature, the above-mentioned pathogens of silkworm can be killed by using Kesongling disinfectant 20-30min of 400-500uL/L, and the control effect index of silkworm disease is more than 90%. In particular, it has a strong killing effect on the microspores of silkworm pebrine disease, which can be inactivated by contact with 10min at the concentration of 50uL/L; it is non-corrosive and safe to iron, wood, silk, cotton fabrics and plastics; it is non-toxic to humans, animals and silkworms. Continuous feeding of silkworms has no adverse effect on contemporary and secondary generations, and can be used for disinfection of mulberry leaves and mulberry gardens without affecting mulberry germination and leaf quality. There is also deodorization effect, after spraying, it can remove the peculiar smell of silkworm room and seed production room, keep the air fresh, the cost is slightly lower than bleach disinfection, easy to use and safe. In particular, the disinfection of residential rooms and the environment is very popular among the public. Through the pilot-scale investigation of 128 batches of 83 households in 5 counties, the results showed that the disinfection effect of Kesongling was significantly better than that of bleaching powder, and the yield of single silkworm eggs increased by 4% Mel 11%. Because of its non-toxic, odorless, non-corrosive, no cleaning after disinfection, no moisture absorption, it can prolong the service life of silkworm tools, and has deodorization effect, so it is very popular with silkworm farmers. The product has passed the technical appraisal chaired by the Science and Technology Commission of Guangdong Province. It is considered that the success of the research on Kesong is a new breakthrough in the use of disinfectants for silkworm in China, which is the first in China. It has been popularized and applied in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Sichuan, Shandong and other silkworm areas, especially in silkworm seed farms, which has played an important role in the prevention and control of silkworm microparticle disease and safe production.

It can also be used in food and beverage factories, pipelines and medical and health disinfection. It has a wide development and application prospect.

(3) scope of application this product is suitable for silk cocoon rearing and silkworm breeding in silkworm area, silkworm breeding farm, original silkworm household room disinfection, mulberry leaf disinfection and mulberry garden disinfection. Can also be used for livestock, poultry house disinfection and diet, food, medical and health disinfection and so on.

(4) production conditions Shunde Chemical Research Institute has built a chlorine oxide (C102) production plant with an annual output of 200t. After 3 years of operation, the product quality is stable, which proves that the process is reasonable and feasible.
