Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Leather foxes, also known as commercial foxes, refer to young foxes that are not reserved for breeding and adult foxes that are eliminated from breeding foxes, all of which are slaughtered and skinned at the mature stage of fur. In order to obtain high quality fur, reasonable arrangements should be made in the daily food collocation and management. First, to fully meet the needs of protein, especially in the feed with sulfur-rich amino acids (methionine, cystine) protein, such as fish meal, silkworm pupa, aseptic maggots and so on. Plant protein is better with sesame cake and sunflower cake. If the protein is not nutritious enough, the fur of the fox will have a sparse hollow nest.

Leather foxes, also known as commercial foxes, refer to young foxes that are not reserved for breeding and adult foxes that are eliminated from breeding foxes, all of which are slaughtered and skinned at the mature stage of fur.

If the protein nutrition is insufficient, the fur of the fox will appear the phenomenon of "empty nest" with sparse undercoat, reducing the quality of the fur. Animal feed should account for 35%-40% of the diet. Adding some raw egg white to the diet 10 days before taking the skin can improve the brightness of the plush.

Second, the diet should contain enough fat, which is not only conducive to the deposition of subcutaneous fat, but also can improve the softness of fur and increase luster. In the middle of November, the value of oil or animal oil can be added to the diet of leather foxes. It is best to add two kinds of oil alternately. In addition, the amount of corn can be increased. In order to increase the brightness of plush, vitamin B23 ~ 5 mg and trace element additives containing iron and copper can be added to the diet of leather foxes. The amount of daily feed is 350 to 400 grams.

Third, in management, in addition to keeping the cage clean and dry, keep the fox on the shady side or where the light intensity is weak 2 ~ 3 months before taking the skin, so as to reduce the light as much as possible, so as to improve the glossiness of the hair.
