"Haihua eggplant No. 2" is a high-quality and high-laying round eggplant anther culture variety selected by the Plant tissue Culture Technology Laboratory of Haidian District, Beijing. It has been planted in Beijing, Liaoning, Ningxia, Hunan, Fujian and other places since 2006. It has been planted all over the country at present.

Characteristics: the plant growth potential is strong, the initial flower node is 6-7 nodes, the leaves are deep purple-green, the plant type is half-open, the plant height is 50-60 cm, the continuous fruit-setting ability is strong, the average fruit number per plant is 8-10, the average fruit weight is about 200g, and the yield is more than 5000 kg. The fruit is oval, the fruit is 14-16 cm long and 5-6 cm in transverse diameter, the pericarp is purple-black and shiny, the flesh is light green and white, the flesh is dense and tender, the quality is good, the fruit setting rate is high, it is tolerant to low temperature and weak light, and the fruit develops faster at low temperature, less abnormal fruit, strong disease resistance and wide adaptability. It is suitable for planting in open field or small arch shed in early spring.
