Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The cultivation season and cultivation method of water celery are generally planted from late August to late September, and harvested from the first ten days of November to the end of March of the following year. It can be planted in water or cultivated in dry land. Cultivation techniques 1) Paddy field cultivation. Irrigate after planting to make the mother stem half out of the water. Sprouting in 10 days, applying seedling fertilizer, drying the field 15 days later, promoting the development of stems, leaves and roots. After 30 days, the seedlings were pulled up when the height of the seedlings was 1215cm and replanted in situ, with 4 seedlings in each hole. Or pull out the seedling when the seedling height is 30 cm and replant it, with a depth of about 18 cm.

The cultivation season and cultivation method of water celery are generally planted from late August to late September, and harvested from the first ten days of November to the end of March of the following year. It can be planted in water or cultivated in dry land. Cultivation techniques

1) Paddy field cultivation. Or when the seedling height is 30 cm, it is replanted with a depth of about 18 cm to soften the stems and leaves. Do not plant deeply in the field, so as not to affect the growth. It should be drained in time after rainstorm, late irrigation and early drainage in drought, and shallow water in topdressing. After Frosts Descent stopped topdressing and gradually increased the depth of the water layer, the water depth should be 6-9 cm under the petiole bifurcation, and the maximum should not exceed this bifurcation. The frozen front is irrigated to protect against cold, and the maximum water depth does not exceed the leaf tip. The harvest period of water celery is from October to early April of the following year until bolting.

2) dry cultivation. ① prepares the land, makes the border, applies the basic fertilizer. It is better to choose soil or clayey soil with strong ability to conserve water and fertilizer. In the first ten days of August, 5000 kg of rotten mature fertilizer, 50 kg of calcium superphosphate and 1 kg of borax were applied as base fertilizer for every 667m2. The border is 1.3 meters wide and 0.15 meters deep. ② colonization. The stolon was divided into 3-4 plants into a clump, which was planted according to plant spacing of 15 cm and row spacing of 20 cm. Then cover the soil for about 3 cm, pour through the water, and cover the sunshade net or straw to keep warm. Often water before emergence to keep the ground moist. ③ topdressing. Water celery needs a large amount of fertilizer, need to be combined with irrigation, topdressing 3 times, generally apply fully mature organic fertilizer. The first topdressing applied 800 kg of 20% rotten manure water every 667 square meters when the new seedlings came out, and the second topdressing was in the vigorous growth stage of the plant, and the concentration was slightly higher than that in the seedling stage. The third topdressing was carried out in late October, when the plant had basically stopped increasing, but the stem was being enriched. This topdressing played an important role in increasing yield and improving quality. ④ softens by cultivating soil. The soil was cultivated in the rhizosphere of the plant in the middle and last ten days of October, so that it naturally entered the soil and could not be bent. The height of soil cultivation should be 3cm and 5cm above the top of the plant. Be sure to top fertilize once before you cultivate the soil. Soften and whiten the embedded part and improve the merchandise. ⑤ harvesting. Generally, it can be harvested and listed after 25 days. Prepare for spring harvest, fertilize less before the year, do not cultivate the soil, and soften the soil after a heavy fertilization in February of the following year. ⑥ disease and pest control. There are mainly aphids and rot disease in the growing period of water celery. Aphids can be controlled by enemy killing or one-time pesticide spraying; rot mainly occurs in the middle and later stages of growth under the conditions of high temperature and humidity, overdense plants, poor ventilation and light transmission, and can be controlled with topzine 1000 times or Dysen zinc 500folds. At the same time, strengthening field management and increasing the application of potash fertilizer can also reduce the occurrence of the disease.
