Although the hometown of Dulan is in China and some surrounding countries, it is also very popular in Europe and the United States. It is probably because westerners first found it in Nepal, and its flowers are more or less like saffron, so in English, it is called "Nepal saffron (Napalesecrocuses)"; in English, it is also called "window-sillorchids", probably because it is easy to grow and is often placed on the windowsill of ordinary people's homes. In addition, there are other names such as "Peacock Orchid (PeacockOrchid)".
In the West, there are many "enthusiasts" who grow Cymbidium, and they collect a large number of varieties of Cymbidium. The famous Cherxi Flower Show in Britain has awarded outstanding varieties of Cymbidium. Recently, scholars in Kew Garden, the Royal Botanical Garden, have published a special monograph on Cymbidium. It can be seen that this kind of oriental orchid has a considerable influence in the West.
