Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Ningmai 11 (NB-3) is a new wheat variety with weak spring early and middle maturity, which was systematically selected by Ningmai 8 mutant used by Grain Institute of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The variety has erect seedlings, dark green leaves, strong tillering, compact plant type, neat ear layer, plant height of 85 cm, oval ear, long awn, white shell, white grain, good seed setting, horny grain and good plumpness. The number of panicles per mu is 350000, the number of filled grains per panicle is 33, and the 1000-grain weight is nearly 40 grams. Medium susceptible to scab, susceptible to spindle stripe mosaic virus, good fertilizer resistance and lodging resistance. Quality inspection knot

The variety has erect seedlings, dark green leaves, strong tillering, compact plant type, neat ear layer, plant height of 85 cm, oval ear, long awn, white shell, white grain, good seed setting, horny grain and good plumpness. The number of panicles per mu is 350000, the number of filled grains per panicle is 33, and the 1000-grain weight is nearly 40 grams. Medium susceptible to scab, susceptible to spindle stripe mosaic virus, good fertilizer resistance and lodging resistance. The average quality test results in two years are 14.91% of crude protein, 33.2% of wet gluten and 6.6 minutes of stability time, which belongs to medium gluten wheat varieties.

This variety participated in the regional trial in Jiangsu Province in 2001-2003, with an average yield of 422.83 kg per mu in two years, and 449kg per mu in the production trial in 2002-2003. It is suitable for planting in the areas along the Huaihe River in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province (including Dafeng, Yandu, Dongtai, the north of Jianhu, Sheyang and the south of Funing) and sowing in late October.
