Treatment of uterine and vaginal prolapse of cattle with Zanthoxylum bungeanum Borneol
Endometritis is an inflammation of uterine mucosa, a common disease of reproductive organs of cows, and one of the important causes of infertility in cows. The affected cattle are often abnormal in estrus and often infertile. Even if the cow is matched, it is easy to have a miscarriage during pregnancy, which brings great economic losses to the industry.
1 etiology
The disease is mainly infected by streptococci, staphylococci and Escherichia coli during mating, delivery and dystocia in cows. The damage of uterine mucosa and the decrease of body resistance of cows are important factors to promote the occurrence of the disease.
2 symptoms
2.1 Acute endometritis often occurs postpartum or after abortion. Slightly higher body temperature, reduced appetite, ruminant, bad spirit, bow back, hard work, often do voiding posture; discharge mucinous or mucinous purulent secretions from the vulva, excreting more when lying down, often attached to the lower corner of the vulva and the tail root. During vaginal examination, the mucous membrane of the outer mouth of the cervix was congested and swollen, and there were inflammatory secretions at the bottom of the vagina. Rectal examination can feel the uterine horn thickening and hypertrophy.
2.2 chronic mucinous endometritis often shows abnormal estrus cycle. turbid mucus with flocs is excreted from the vagina when sick cattle lie down or in estrus. The mucous membrane of the vagina and the outer mouth of the cervix is congested and swollen, and the above secretions are sometimes accumulated at the bottom of the vagina. The uterine horn becomes thicker and the wall is thick and soft.
2.3 chronic mucopurulent endometritis cattle have mild systemic reactions, lack of energy, loss of appetite, abnormal estrous cycle, discharge of grayish-white or yellowish-brown thin pus from the vagina, and thin scabs are often attached to the tail root, vulva, thighs and hocks. Vaginal examination, you can find vaginal mucosa and cervical congestion, and purulent secretions attached. Rectal examination showed that the uterine horn was enlarged and the reflux fluid washed was muddy like noodle soup or rice soup, which contained pus and flocs.
3 Prevention and treatment
3.1 precautions must be paid to disinfection during delivery and dystocia, and aseptic operation rules must be observed during artificial insemination. Diseased cattle with reproductive organ diseases should not be bred before treatment to prevent the occurrence of the disease.
3.2 Western medicine treatment of the disease is mainly to control infection, eliminate inflammation and promote the excretion of pathological secretions in the uterine cavity.
3.2.1 uterine irrigation method for acute and chronic mucus cases, usually rinse the uterus repeatedly with 1% warm saline 5000ml to 10000 ml until the discharge fluid is transparent. After the liquid was drained, the uterus was injected with 500000 units of penicillin and streptomycin with 20 ml of normal saline and washed once a day for 2 times continuously. Good results were obtained.
For recessive cases, 250 500 ml of saline or soda solution (1 g of sodium chloride, 3 g of heavy Cao, 9 g of glucose, 1000 ml of warm water) were used to rinse the uterus 1-2 hours before mating, which was beneficial to fertilization.
Mucous purulent and purulent cases can be rinsed with iodized saline (1000 ml of 1% saline plus 20 ml of 2% iodine tincture) or 0.1% Rivernol or 0.1% potassium permanganate solution. When there is not much exudate in the uterus, 50ml of glycerin or bismuth iodoform paste can be infused into the uterus without flushing.
For chronic cases with a long course of disease, rinse with 3% hydrogen peroxide 250 to 500 ml, rinse with 1% salt water after 1-1.5 hours, and then inject antibiotics. In general, this method can only be used once and twice if necessary.
When the uterine secretion is rotten and stinks, it is appropriate to rinse with 0.5% Lysol or 0.1% potassium permanganate solution, but not too often. Later, according to the situation, use other medicine solution to rinse.
3.2.2 Drug injection method for the treatment of chronic mucinous, chronic mucinous purulent and chronic purulent endometritis without flushing the uterus, only 20 ml of suspension of antibiotics or suspension of traditional Chinese medicine and antibiotics can be injected into the uterus. Namely penicillin 400000 unit, streptomycin 2 million unit, neomycin (or erythromycin) 600mg, vegetable oil 20ml, match into suspension agent, inject into the uterus once. Or Angelica, motherwort, safflower extract 5 ml, penicillin 400000 unit, streptomycin 1 million unit, vegetable oil 20 ml, the matching method and usage are the same as before.
3.2.3 when iodine preparation is used to treat chronic endometritis, the same amount of paraffin oil compound iodine solution is commonly used to inject the same amount of paraffin oil compound iodine solution 20ml / 30ml or 1 ∶ 2ml / ∶ 4 iodine tincture paraffin oil solution 30ml into the uterus. When preparing 1 ∶ 2 ∶ 4 iodine tincture paraffin oil solution, take 2% iodine tincture, put it into 2% 4 parts of paraffin oil, heat to 50 ℃ ~ 60 ℃, shake evenly and set aside.
3.3 according to the condition, the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine can be selected as follows: 50 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 50 grams of Atractylodes macrocephala, 50 grams of yam, 40 grams of tangerine peel, 20 grams of wine plantain, 20 grams of charcoal, 30 grams of white peony, 50 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 20 grams of Bupleurum, 25 grams of licorice, a total of fine powder, 250 ml of yellow rice wine for introduction, boiled water to adjust warm service. Wet and hot go to Codonopsis pilosula, add 75 grams of winter grass, 50 grams of dandelion, 50 grams of Toona sinensis bark. Wet and cold, dry heat to cold, can add 30 grams of Angelica dahurica, 25 grams of moxa leaves, 50 grams of aconite, 20 grams of cinnamon. Leucorrhea with kidney deficiency for a long time, go to Bupleurum, plantain seed, add 30 grams of leek seed, 50 grams of squid bone, 50 grams of raspberry, 50 grams of dodder. This prescription is suitable for acute and chronic vaginitis, cervicitis and acute and chronic endometritis.

Prevention and treatment of Bovine brucellosis
Brucellosis (brucellosis), also known as infectious abortion, is a contact infectious disease caused by brucellosis (brucellosis). First, the pathogen of the original disease is Brucella. This pathogen is a tiny, nearly spherical bacterium with a size of 1.5 microns and 0.5 microns, irregular shape, no spores, no capsule and negative Gram staining. This pathogen is not resistant to heat and can be killed in 30 minutes at 60 ℃.

Why should salt be added to chicken food?
Chlorine and sodium exist in chicken body fluids, soft tissues and eggs, which can maintain the acid-base balance of chicken body, maintain the balance of osmotic pressure between cells and blood, and make chicken body tissue maintain constant water. In addition, it is also the raw material for the formation of gastric juice and gastric acid, which can promote the activity of digestive enzymes and play an important role in the digestion and absorption of fat and protein. Salt can improve the palatability of diet, promote appetite and improve feed utilization rate. Therefore, salt is both an essential nutrient and a seasoning crystal. If there is not enough salt in the chicken diet, it will cause
