The fattening of old and residual cattle is an effective measure to give full play to the production performance of cattle and improve the economic benefit. Before fattening, cattle were first dewormed and vaccinated, and then intensive fattening was adopted, that is, fattening was achieved in a short period of time (80,100 days).

(1) Rice water plus rice bran fattening 20 kg of rice bran per cow per day, adding 2 kg of rice bran and feeding the cattle after mixing. Other conventional feed allows the cattle to eat freely and gain about 1 kg per day.

(2) distiller's grains plus concentrate fattening each cow with 10 kg of distiller's grains per day, mixed with corn and other concentrate 1 kg to 1.5 kg, other conventional feed allows cattle to eat freely, and the daily gain is 1 kg to 1.2 kg.

(3) the daily gain of bean curd dregs and corn bran per cow is 1015kg and 1.52kg per day, adding proper amount of chopped dry and fresh grass and feeding the cattle together, the daily weight gain can reach more than 1kg.

In order to better improve the fattening effect of old and residual cattle, during the fattening period, farmers should ensure that fattening cattle have sufficient ruminating time, feed water and grass evenly, the fattening effect is the best in autumn, and the room temperature of the barn should be kept above 8 ℃ in winter.
