Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Tea tree is a perennial crop, and the construction of a new tea garden is the basis of tea production. As long as it is planted well, long-term economic benefits can be obtained. Therefore, we must seriously pay attention to the quality, start from the basic work, seriously select the land and open the garden, in order to achieve the goal of long-term high yield and high quality. The growth and development of Baiya Qilan is an entity with the external environment. The quality of the garden is closely related to its quality. Therefore, when selecting the garden, we should focus on whether the climate, soil, water quality, topography and other conditions are suitable for cultivation, according to the characteristics of Baiya Qilan tea.

Tea tree is a perennial crop, the construction of new tea garden is the basis of tea production, as long as planted well, you can obtain long-term economic benefits. Therefore, we must seriously grasp the quality, starting from the basic work, carefully select land and open the garden, in order to achieve the goal of long-term high yield and high quality. The growth and development of white bud orchid is a unity with the external environment. The quality of garden is closely related to its quality. Therefore, when selecting the garden, we should focus on measuring whether the climate, soil, water quality, terrain and other conditions are suitable for cultivation. According to the characteristics of white bud Qilan tea, we should choose deep soil layer (more than 1 meter), fertile acidic soil (PH value is 4.5-6.5) red and yellow loam soil, sufficient water source, slope generally below 30 degrees, mountain and hilly land with altitude of 500-1000 meters, planting quality is better, tea garden should be concentrated and contiguous. After selection, planning and reclamation should be carried out. Flat land and gentle slope land are flat and easy to develop, while slope tea garden should be opened into horizontal terrace tea garden. First build ladder wall, then arrange ladder surface. The ladder surface requires a certain standard width. Under normal circumstances, the ladder surface width for planting a row of tea trees is about 2 meters. The steepest slope is not less than 1.5 meters. After digging the planting ditch, bury weeds and garbage at the bottom of the ditch, apply 30-50 loads of miscellaneous fertilizer and 100 kg of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus per mu, and then return the topsoil to the ditch for leveling and planting.

The key to planting white bud Qilan tea is how to improve survival rate and ensure high yield in the future. Therefore, we should grasp the four links of seedling selection, selection of the best planting time and method, reasonable planting and post-planting management.

① Seedling selection: tea seedlings with strong growth and development, root development, no diseases and insect pests, no mixing, seedling age of more than 2 years and seedling height of more than 25cm must be selected.

② Planting time and planting method: White bud Qilan tea is suitable for planting in January to February in early spring or in areas with abundant water sources, and can also be planted before and after frost; Transplantation should be carried out with soil. When seedling is raised, try to reduce root damage and carry more soil. Before planting, tea seedlings should be cut and kept 15- 20cm high. When planting, dig (or open by hand) 15cm deep ditch holes first, straighten tea seedlings to make their root system stretch straight, then return soil layer by layer, step firmly layer by layer, irrigate enough planting water after burying more than half of the soil, and continue to add water after moisture infiltration until it is level with mud gate.

③ Reasonable close planting: Generally, single row double plant planting with large row spacing of 1.2-1.4 meters, plant spacing of 0.3 meters and small spacing of 0.3-0.35 meters is adopted, and 3000-3500 plants per mu are appropriate.

④ Post-planting management: After planting, young tea care should be done well, that is, drought resistance and freezing prevention, seedling thinning and supplement, reasonable fertilization, regular pruning, top-cutting and light harvesting, pest control, etc.

Do a good job in the above four links, tea seedling survival rate is high, but also for the future tea high yield to lay a solid foundation.
