Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Fusarium wilt of Populus tomentosa is a common disease of Populus tomentosa in recent years, which is characterized by severe disease, fast transmission and great influence on greening effect. Although this disease is stubborn, if we can take correct measures, aimed at the pathogen, multi-pronged measures can still achieve satisfactory results of prevention and control. At first, the symptoms of Dasan yellow poplar were just three green trunks of a branch, and then the whole branch and three branches of the whole plant were withered and lost water. Fusarium wilt of Populus tomentosa is a common disease of Populus tomentosa in recent years, which is characterized by severe disease, fast transmission and great influence on greening effect.

In the later stage of the disease, three pieces are yellow and white, and the seriously infected ones will lead to plant death.

The pathogen of the disease is Fusarium oxysporum in the soil. Most of the germs invade from the root wound and can also invade the plant directly. The disease usually begins in the middle of May, and the peak is in July and August, and some plants do not exceed a week from disease to death.

Prevention and control methods 1. Strengthen epidemic inspection, strictly prevent diseased plants from entering non-epidemic areas; 2. Strengthen water and fertilizer management, improve plant disease resistance, cultivate land should be kept moist, but not stagnant water 3. If diseased plants are found, the diseased plants should be pulled out and burned in time. The cultivated land can be irrigated and disinfected with 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder 600 times per square meter, the dosage is 5 to 6 kg per square meter, and the rice can be continuously irrigated three times, each time at an interval of 5 days. 0.5 kg of sulfur powder can also be fully mixed with the soil for disinfection. 4. For undiseased plants, 50% carbendazim 500 times or 65% Dysen 1000 times can be alternately sprayed for 2 to 3 times.
