Feed formulation and blending of Meat Dogs
Meat dog feed is made up of animal feed, plant feed and mineral feed. Nutritional standards in feed are: protein 17~25%, fat 3~7%, fiber 3~4.5%, carbohydrate 44~49%, calcium 1.5~1.8%, phosphorus 1.1~1.2% and trace copper, chlorine, potassium, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, zinc, iodine and multivitamins.
1. Feed formula: (1) Artificial milk formula: 1 egg, 300g concentrated bone soup, 50g baby cake powder, 200g fresh milk, cooked after mixing, 1 g lysine, 0.6g methionine, 0.5g salt added after cooling, and filtered by gauze. (2) Feed formula for young dogs during lactation period: lean meat or viscera 500g (minced) 3 eggs, corn flour 300g, flour 300g, vegetable 500g (minced) proper amount of auxin, salt 4g, mixed with water to make steamed corn, lysine 5g, methionine 3g, appropriate amount of micronutrients sprinkled on the cold corn, add a little bone soup for young dogs to lick. (3) The feed formula for weaning period: corn 40%(15% can be replaced by broken rice), bran 20%, rice bran 10%, soybean cake 19%(5% can be replaced by rapeseed cake), fish meal 7%, bone meal 3%, salt and auxin 0.5% respectively. (4) Young dog feed formula: corn 50%(can be replaced by broken rice 20%), bran 20%, rice bran 10%, soybean cake 15%(can be replaced by rapeseed cake 5%), fish meal 2%, bone meal 2%, salt, auxin 0.5% each. Green feed 150 grams per dog per day, feed formula is not fixed, breeders can be based on their specific conditions, appropriate selection of local feed scientific mix, but the ratio of energy feed and protein feed, should comply with the above principles.
2. Feed preparation. The purpose of feed preparation is to improve the palatability of feed, preserve or improve its nutritional value. The general requirements for feed modulation are: hygiene, maintenance points, dog love, easy digestion, no waste. Dogs for carnivores, although people have been raised for a long time, into omnivores, but still can not directly digest raw starch. Therefore, dog feed must be cooked before feeding. The most common method of preparing dog feed is cooking. Cooking is to cook dog feed into semi-liquid porridge paste, in the processing should pay attention to the following points. 1, cooking must not be raw or burnt, otherwise it will affect the dog's palatability and digestion and absorption of feed. 2, meat production as far as possible to keep protein loss. Wash meat with cold water, soaking time should not be too long, boiling time to sterilize, meat cooked is appropriate, should not be broken and overheated. Broth should be eaten with rice. 3, food only need to clean the sand with water, do not have to water many times. If soaking expansion is needed, the grain and water can be poured into the pot and cooked together after soaking to ensure the full utilization of nutrients. 4. Vegetables should be washed first and then cut, cooked with fire without rotting. Some root vegetables such as radish and potato should be peeled as much as possible. 5, dog feed should be done now eat, not overnight, so as to avoid poisoning or disease.
