Last Updated: 2024/11/22, Daojie is the latest rice field herbicide developed by Dow Yinong Company of the United States. its main ingredient is pentafluorosulfonamide (25g / oil suspension agent). Through many years' experiment and demonstration, it is proved that Daojie has a particularly outstanding control effect on rice paspalum, a malignant weed in paddy field in Northeast China. There are two kinds of barnyardgrass in rice field in Fushun area. Barnyardgrass has no auricle and ligule. Although barnyardgrass has no auricle and ligule, there are pilose hairs between leaf and leaf sheath. In recent years, paspalum has been effectively controlled after the application of conventional barnyardicide in rice fields.

There are two kinds of barnyardgrass in rice field in Fushun area. Barnyardgrass has no auricle and ligule. Although barnyardgrass has no auricle and ligule, there are pilose hairs between leaf and leaf sheath. In recent years, after the application of conventional barnyardicide in rice fields, paspalum has been effectively controlled, but the number of barnyardgrass resistant to barnyardicide has obviously increased and flourished, which has become a major dominant grass damage to rice, and it has also become a headache for rice farmers. In the case of helplessness, in 2007, Pingdingshan Town Agricultural Science Station introduced and tested the application of Daojie to control rice paspalum, and achieved remarkable results.

Application method: the stems and leaves of barnyardgrass were treated with 2.5% rice-Jie oil suspension 40-80ml per mu and 20 kg of water sprayed. Drain the water in the field or make the stems and leaves of weeds above the surface of the water before treatment. Water was irrigated within 24-72 hours after application.

Main herbicidal characteristics: ① has outstanding control effect on rice paspalum. ② is effective on most weeds in paddy fields, including barnyardgrass, annual sedge (special-shaped sedge, cow felt, etc.) and most broad-leaved weeds, including Hedyotis diffusa, Yujiuhua, etc. ③ also has excellent control effect on older barnyardgrass.

Mechanism of action: according to relevant data, Daojie is absorbed by weed leaves, stems and roots and transmitted to meristem through xylem and phloem. The weeds treated by Daojie showed symptoms: ① stopped growing quickly. The growing point of weeds faded and some leaf veins turned red 2-4 days after ② treatment. The stem tips and leaf buds began to wither and necrosis at 7-14 days after ③ treatment, and the stem base of barnyardgrass turned black. The weeds died 2-4 weeks after ④ treatment. Weeds that did not germinate in ⑤ generally died before emergence or grew slowly to 1-2-leaf stage after emergence.

Safety for rice: Daojie is safe for japonica rice. Many years of field experiments and demonstrations in various regions have proved that Daojie is safe for rice (except seedling fields) under the normal recommended dose. Under the condition of uneven spraying or low temperature, sometimes rice will be yellowed for a short time, which can be recovered in 5-7 days.

In 2007, Xinbin County popularized the application of Daojie to control rice paspalum in paddy fields of more than 10,000 mu, which achieved remarkable results, and solved a difficult problem of weeding for the majority of rice farmers.
