Last Updated: 2024/11/09, 1. Botanical characteristics. There are obvious taproot and a lot of lateral roots and root hairs. After the taproot is injured, the lateral roots occur faster, so the survival rate of transplanting is higher. Adventitious roots are not easily produced on stems. From the 12th to 14th nodes, the first branch is mostly 2, and the second branch is mostly 4 ~6. Leaves were oval or long oval, alternate, veins obvious, leaf surface smoother. Corolla white, fruit was croissant-shaped, 8 cm ~15 cm long, fresh pepper green, red or dark red after maturity. II. Impact on environmental conditions

1. Botanical characteristics. There are obvious taproot and a lot of lateral roots and root hairs. After the taproot is injured, the lateral roots occur faster, so the survival rate of transplanting is higher. Adventitious roots are not easily produced on stems. Corolla white, fruit was croissant-shaped, 8 cm ~15 cm long, fresh pepper green, red or dark red after maturity.

2. Requirements for environmental conditions.

1. Temperature. The optimum temperature for germination was 25℃, but it was difficult to germinate below 15℃. The optimum temperature for plant growth period is 22℃~28℃ in daytime and 15℃~20℃ at night. When the temperature is lower than 15℃ or higher than 35℃, pollination is abnormal and flowers and fruits are often dropped.

2. Light. It is a short-day crop. Under the condition of 10 hours to 12 hours of light every day, it blossoms early and normally, but it can also adapt to longer sunshine. Moderate intensity of light is required, and insufficient light will reduce the fruit setting rate; direct light will slow down the growth of plants, and the fruit is prone to sunburn.
