Cherry radish is one of the four seasons radish in China, because its appearance is similar to the color and size of cherry, so it is called cherry radish. Cherry radish contains a variety of minerals, trace elements and other substances that are beneficial to the human body. Now the planting area of cherry radish is getting wider and wider in our country, so how to plant cherry radish? The following editor brings you the planting method of cherry radish, let's have a look!

1. Select varieties

The variety selection of cherry radish is very important. A good variety not only determines the growth ability of cherry radish, but also has a great relationship with the final yield and quality. Therefore, we must choose a good variety before planting, and when choosing a variety, we must decide according to the market demand and the planting area. Now the common varieties on the market are Chiwan 20-day big root and early red, and their growth period is about a month. The growth ability is strong, suitable for growing in a warm environment, but the heat resistance is not strong.

2. Prepare the land and make beds.

If it is cultivated in early spring, the growth rate of cherry radish is faster, so it is necessary to choose sandy soil with sufficient fertility, deep soft and strong permeability. Then apply sufficient base fertilizer before soil preparation, the base fertilizer is mainly rotten farm manure, pay attention to the amount of fertilizer. If the base fertilizer is insufficient, the growth rate of cherry radish decreases obviously, and the fleshy root can not be expanded due to lack of nutrition. The phenomenon of early bolting occurs, which affects the planting benefit. Planting in early spring is generally based on flat bed sowing, and soil preparation and deep ploughing should be carried out after applying sufficient base fertilizer, and the soil and fertilizer should be fully mixed. Then make the bed half a month before sowing and cover the plastic film as soon as possible to increase the soil temperature.

3. Sowing seeds at the right time

The cold tolerance of cherry radish is relatively strong, and it can be sown when the soil temperature is not lower than 8 degrees. The earlier it goes on the market in spring, the better its economic benefits will be. Therefore, we should sow the seeds as early as possible, soak the seeds in warm water for about 30 hours before sowing, and then accelerate the germination at a temperature of about 19 degrees. The seeds will show white in about 2 days. Then watering on the ridge for on-demand sowing, when the water seeps into the soil, control the sowing density and sow in time. When covering fine soil after sowing, it should be noted that the seeds are all the same, and the thickness of the covering soil should be consistent.

4. Field management

Sowing should be covered with plastic film in time, and straw should be properly covered at night to keep warm. Control the temperature at about 25 degrees during the day and not lower than 7 degrees at night. Then uncover the straw every morning until the temperature drops gradually in the afternoon and cover again. About two weeks after the emergence of seedlings, after the seedlings should pay attention to do a good job of ventilation, the temperature can be appropriately reduced to 19 or so. Then the seedlings should be fixed in time when the seedlings grow to about 5 true leaves at least twice. Do a good job in fertilizer and water management, timely ploughing and weeding, to create a good growth environment for cherry radish.

The above is a brief introduction of cherry radish planting methods, cherry radish planting is relatively simple, but to do a good job in field management. Then there is the prevention and management of diseases and insect pests. Only by doing a good job can we ensure the normal growth of cherry radish, improve the yield and enhance the quality.
