It has the functions of dispelling wind, dehumidification, dispelling cold, relieving pain and so on. It is often used to treat rheumatic arthralgia, wind-cold headache and wind-cold-damp arthralgia. Clinically, it is also an important raw material of proprietary Chinese medicine. The medicinal value is extremely high, so how to grow solitary? Let's get to know it.

1. Land selection and preparation

Solitary living generally grows in alpine valleys, slopes and streams at an altitude of 1400-2600 meters above sea level, which is suitable for cool and humid climate. when planting, it is appropriate to choose sandy loam soil with deep soil layer, loose soil, good drainage and rich in humus. Before planting, turn 30-35cm deep into the soil, combined with ploughing, apply 3000-4000 kg of rotten organic fertilizer per mu as base fertilizer, mash it fine, spread it evenly, and then rake fine and level it to make a high bed, waiting for planting.

2. Methods of reproduction

The main methods of propagation are seed propagation and root bud propagation. Seed propagation is generally in the way of seed direct seeding, which can be sowed in winter or spring, winter sowing is usually carried out in October, and spring sowing is carried out before and after the Qingming Festival. The sowing method can be selected as strip sowing or hole sowing, strip sowing can be ditched according to row spacing 50cm on the border surface, seeds can be evenly scattered into the ditch, hole sowing according to plant row spacing 50 × 30cm, sowing 10-15 seeds per hole, covering soil. After root bud propagation in autumn, when the aboveground part of the plant begins to wither, dig out the plant from the root, cut off the root head with bud, and open the hole according to the row spacing of the plant sown on the border surface, and put 1-2 root heads in each hole, requiring the bud to stand upright and water after covering the soil slightly.

3. Field management

After seedling emergence in spring, field management should be done well. When seedlings grow to 15cm, weeding should be done in time to promote seedling root growth. After weeding, thin manure should be watered once, and weeds should be removed at seedling stage. When the seedlings grow to 20-30cm, it is necessary to time seedlings, inter-seedlings to remove diseased seedlings, weak seedlings. If you want to live alone and grow well, fertilization is inevitable. in the spring, autumn and winter, weeding is collected and farm manure is applied once, and fertilization in winter should be combined with soil cultivation to avoid plant lodging and make it safe to survive the winter.

4. Diseases and insect pests

When living alone in artificial cultivation, there are few diseases, and the main harm is pests. From June to July every year, when aphids and red spiders are raging, they will suck the sap of stems and leaves, control them in the initial stage, and spray dimethoate in serious cases. In addition, the yellow Phoenix butterfly harms the leaves, buds and pedicels of the plant, which can be sprayed with trichlorfon in the insect stage, once every 5-7 days, 2-3 times in a row.
