Forty years ago, Napa County County was just an unknown river valley located in northern California, an hour's drive from downtown San Francisco. No one thought that this small wine country with a small area and small population would beat the wine from well-known French producing areas and win the first place at the Paris Wine Evaluation Conference (Judgment of Paris) in 1976. The result of this blind drink not only surprised the judges. What's more, Napa's wine has been popular ever since.
