Blueberry is a new type of fruit which is popular in the market in recent years, and it is also one of the five healthy fruits recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the World. Blueberries are rich in nutrients, often eating can play a good role in regulating the body, but the daily dosage should not be too much, otherwise it will also cause adverse reactions. At present, our country is also trying to grow blueberries in many areas, so what kind of conditions do we need to grow blueberries? Let's follow the editor to learn about it.

1. Climatic conditions

Blueberries need a certain amount of cold storage if they are to blossom and bear fruit, so areas like Hainan in China are not suitable for growing blueberries. And the so-called cold storage capacity is blueberry, which requires a certain market temperature of 7.2 degrees. Secondly, different varieties of blueberries have different requirements for climatic conditions. For example, high-irrigation blueberries are suitable for growing at minus 30 degrees Celsius, while semi-high irrigation blueberries are suitable for growing at minus 38 degrees Celsius. Dwarf shrub blueberries are better and can grow at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. This means that we need to determine the climatic conditions for planting according to the selected varieties.

2. Soil quality requirements

The requirement of soil quality is the most basic condition for blueberry planting. First of all, the blueberry planting land is flat and the slope is small; secondly, there is sufficient light and there can be no shelter near the planting site. If the soil is slightly acidic, blueberries planted in this soil are more likely to survive and are of better quality. Finally, the soil has good permeability, good water retention and drainage performance, high content of organic matter, and too barren soil is not suitable for growing blueberries.

3. Water and fertilizer demand

The demand for water and fertilizer for blueberry planting is relatively strict, usually near the planting site to have a high-quality water source, and facilitate irrigation. The demand for nutrients for blueberry planting is not high, so it does not need too much fertilizer, if too much fertilizer will affect the growth of blueberries; but this does not mean that there is no need for fertilization, we should carry out appropriate land improvement, reasonable application of river sand, rotten leaf soil, sawdust, peat and so on.

4. Planting technology

The planting technology of blueberry is one of the most critical conditions for blueberry cultivation. Generally speaking, if the planting technology is not professional, coupled with the harsh conditions of blueberry cultivation, it is very difficult to grow blueberries successfully, which is why trial planting is needed before planting. In blueberry planting technology, greenhouse seedling refining, mixing nutrient soil, greenhouse seedling raising, planting and gardening, maintenance management and pest control are the most basic planting requirements.

At present, blueberry cultivation in China is mainly distributed in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia and Liaoning. I believe that with our understanding of blueberry planting conditions and professional team's research on blueberry varieties, blueberry cultivation has been further developed. This is the end of what the editor is going to introduce to you today. If you want to know about blueberry planting technology, remember to leave a message for the editor.
