Virgin fruit has a nickname for cherry tomatoes. It tastes similar to tomatoes, but it is very small and is eaten as a fruit by many people. However, it can also be used to make a variety of dishes, and now the planting area of virgin fruit in our country is very extensive. Now there are many people who want to expand the planting area, so how can we reproduce and expand the planting area? The following editor brings you the sowing and breeding technology of virgin fruit, let's have a look!

1. Seedbed preparation

The soil of the nursery bed of virgin fruit should pay attention to the previous crops, not Solanaceae crops, otherwise it is easy to produce all kinds of repeated cropping diseases in the process of raising seedlings. Ensure that the soil is rich and soft and rich in humus, then dig the soil deeply, and then apply sufficient base fertilizer. The base fertilizer is mainly composed of rotten agricultural machinery fertilizer and calcium superphosphate and other compound fertilizer, which is evenly spread on the seedbed after fully mixed with the soil. If it is in early spring, it should be set up in a greenhouse to ensure a suitable temperature for virgin fruit breeding. And the nursery bed should also have good measures of shelter from rain and sunshade and dig good drainage ditches to facilitate seedling management.

2. Seed treatment

The seeds of virgin fruit usually carry certain germs, and the incidence of diseases and insect pests is mostly due to the spread of seeds. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job of disinfecting the seeds before sowing to prevent the seeds from carrying bacteria. First wet the seeds with clean water, then wrap them with a wet cloth, soak them in agents such as calcium trisodium phosphate for about 18 minutes, and then take out the seeds. Use a wet cloth to wrap at a temperature of about 30 degrees to promote germination. During the germination period, the seeds should be taken out and washed with clean water once a day. After about 3 days, more than half of the seeds can be sown.

3. Sowing and raising seedlings

Before sowing, the seedling bed should be set up in a high-lying, dry place with normal drainage and irrigation. Then tidy up the nursery bed, pay attention to the disinfection of nutritious soil, use formalin and other agents to sprinkle comprehensively and evenly. Then prepare the land to make the border, the height of the border shall not be less than 1 meter to facilitate later drainage. Then sow seeds at the right time when controlling the sowing density, and pay attention to putting 1-2 seeds in each seedling hole when sowing. After sowing, covering soil and watering can promote seed germination, make seeds fully absorb water, improve germination rate, and ensure full seedling.

4. Seedling stage management

As I just said, enough water should be watered after sowing. If the temperature is low in early spring, the amount of water can be reduced appropriately. Then pay attention to do a good job of heat preservation to prevent too low temperature to reduce the germination of seeds, resulting in difficulties in seed germination. After emergence, one seedling is retained at every planting hole, and the excess seedlings are pulled out. And to control the temperature, after emergence, the temperature should be controlled at about 22 degrees, and the temperature at night should be kept at 13-14 degrees. Weeding regularly to prevent weeds from grabbing nutrients and affecting the growth of seedlings. When the seedlings on duty grow to about 18 cm and grow about 4 true leaves, they can be transplanted and planted.

After the emergence of the seedlings, we should also do a good job in dividing the seedlings to ensure the normal growth of each seedling, and we should often observe the growth of the seedlings and pull out the poorly growing kittens, pest seedlings and dead seedlings in time. Then make up the seedlings with the same growth to ensure the whole seedlings and protect their own planting benefits. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
