Passion fruit is a kind of fruit with high nutritional value, and Passion Fruit Juice and dried passion fruit processed from passion fruit are very popular. At present, the planting area of passion fruit in China is still expanding, but many people do not know how to propagate and expand the planting area. In fact, there are three propagation methods of passion fruit, which need to be mastered by everyone. The following editor has brought you the breeding method of passion fruit, let's have a look!

1. Sowing and reproduction

One of the most commonly used propagation methods of passion fruit is sowing and reproduction, which usually begins in spring and autumn every year. First of all, take the seeds from the full, juicy, pest-free fruit, and then wash the seeds with clean water. Then soak the seeds in warm water of about 40 degrees for 15-16 hours, then remove them and soak them in methyl topiramate solution for about 2 hours, and sterilize the seeds. After soaking the seeds, dry them, then wrap the seeds with a wet cloth and accelerate germination at a temperature of about 26-28 degrees. Turn the seeds every 6 hours or so during budding, and then wash the seeds every other day. When there is about 85% of the white, you can start sowing.

2. Cuttage propagation

Cutting propagation is also a basic propagation method, starting from November every year, we should first select semi-lignified branches with sturdy growth, large amount of fruit and not harmed by diseases and insect pests. After cutting off the branches, cut the branches into small segments of about 10 cm, leaving 1-2 bud holes on each segment. Then the leaves of about 3 stroke 5 will be removed to prevent water from evaporating too quickly and reduce the survival rate of cuttings. Then disinfect and sterilize the small section and do a good job of sprouting. Finally, prepare the cuttage substrate, insert the cuttings vertically into the substrate, and keep the part of the cuttings 1 stroke 3 on the ground. Pour enough water after cutting, establish rain-proof and sunshade measures, and control watering according to weather and soil moisture to ensure soil moisture. It can take root and sprout about a month after cutting.

3. Grafting propagation

The last kind is grafting propagation, the time of grafting propagation of passion fruit is usually in every spring, first of all, we should select the resistant variety of passion fruit as the grafting rootstock. The seedlings of rootstocks should be cultivated a year before grafting, and then when the diameter of rootstocks reaches 5 mm, they can be grafted at the right time. The same as the conditions for selecting cuttings, first select the scion, and then deal with the cuttings according to the requirements of cutting propagation. It should be noted that the lower part of the scion should be cut diagonally to facilitate grafting. After preparing the scion, cut the rootstock about 12 cm from the ground, then cut oblique about 2 cm, connect the cuttings, and deal with the incision. The temperature of grafting should not be too high. One week after grafting, attention should be paid to whether it survived, and those who did not survive should be grafted again.

Grafting reproduction should pay attention to prevent direct sunlight after grafting, and then appropriate watering according to weather changes, in the grafting seedling stage to ensure that the soil is moist, improve the survival rate of grafting. No matter what the breeding method is, the management should be strengthened after the seedling is established to ensure the survival rate. Avoid the failure of raising seedlings and affect the planting benefit. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. Thank you for your reading and support.
