Propagation methods of cauliflower
Cauliflower is a kind of red algae in the world, which generally grows on the rocks on the sea floor, but due to the increasing market demand for cauliflower, it needs artificial culture, so for this kind of algae, how do we reproduce? What are the methods of reproduction? Now let's learn about the breeding method of cauliflower.
I. spore reproduction
Spore reproduction is a way of reproduction using the female and male bodies of the spores of cauliflower. We should prepare the male gametes of cauliflower and the female gametes close to maturity or maturity, relying on the flow of sea water to achieve fertilization. After fertilization, a zygote is formed, and the zygote is inseparable from the mother. After the cell fusion, the fusion cell forms a spore filament and finally forms a tetrad fruit sporophyte. After the tetrad sporophyte matures, the sporangium wall breaks, the spores are scattered on the substrate of the sea floor, and finally cauliflower grows. This is a process of spore reproduction of cauliflower. In the process of reproduction, it needs to go through many divisions and fusion before it can formally grow and develop.
II. Vegetative reproduction
Vegetative reproduction is a new way of reproduction formed by continuous research in the later stage. The ways of vegetative reproduction are mainly divided into three types, namely, stolon propagation, false root propagation and vegetative branch reproduction.
1. Stolon propagation
Stolon propagation is when cauliflower seedlings grow to a certain size, and at this time cauliflower will grow stolons, and these stolons will continue to grow. Finally, we can see that something similar to the root system appears on the stolon, and these root-like substances will grow upward into separate cauliflower, and continue to grow, making more and more individual cauliflower. And this way of reproduction is often used in the later planting process.
2. Pseudoroot propagation
Pseudoroot propagation is a way to reproduce by using the tip of the false branch of cauliflower. This kind of false branch tip is like the spore propagation bud of cauliflower, and then we cultivate the cut false branch tip, and eventually grow stolon and erect branches, and finally grow into separate bodies. In this way of reproduction, we can usually take seeds in the later stage when we salvage cauliflower, preserve the false branch tips of cauliflower on the fishing net, and then put them back into the sea water, so that we can continue to grow and reproduce.
3. Vegetative branch propagation
Vegetative branch propagation is the most commonly used way of propagation of cauliflower at present. This method of reproduction is mainly a way of reproduction by using the branches of cauliflower or the base of the main branch. But what we should pay attention to is that the base of the cut trunk should be at the interface of the rock so that new buds can grow and new cauliflower bodies can be formed. Of course, there is the use of cage culture, then the branches above the cage are cut off, the base left on the cage can continue to grow.
The above are the two main breeding methods commonly used in cauliflower reproduction. The editor here is just a brief introduction to you, hoping to help you. If you want to know the planting technology of cauliflower, please contact the editor.
