1. Soil with good drainage

With regard to the cultivation methods and matters needing attention of tulips, the first thing to say is the soil, after all, soil is the foundation of potted plants. It is understood that tulips like slightly acidic soil that is fertile and loose, good drainage, water retention and breathability. In this regard, the editor recommends that the flower friends choose the soil made of peat, mature soil and sand mixed with 1 ∶ 1 ∶ 1, which has a better effect.

Note: avoid alkaline soil and viscous soil; in addition, the soil used in tulips should be sterilized, which can be sprayed with 50 times of 40% formalin.

2. Sunshine should be sufficient

Tulips like light, so in the cultivation methods and matters needing attention of tulips, flower friends should ensure that tulips have enough light. If the light is not enough, it will cause poor plant growth, resulting in most of the temperature, such as weakening of plants, falling buds, lighter leaves and shortening of flowering period.

Note: although tulips like the light, they should be properly shaded in the first half of the month after potting, so that they can grow balls and send new roots. In addition, when sprouting, appropriate shading to prevent excessive growth; increase light after emergence; after the buds are fully colored in the later stage, direct sunlight should be prevented and flowering time should be prolonged.

3. Watering, neither dry nor wet

Watering is indispensable when raising flowers indoors. Before planting tulips, it is necessary to adjust the soil moisture, do not dry or wet, and maintain a certain degree of humidity. After teething, properly control the water, wait for the leaf to elongate gradually, and spray water on the leaf surface. At bolting stage and budding stage, the amount of water should be increased to promote the full development of flowers, and the water should be controlled properly after flowering.

Note: during the growing period of tulips, flower lovers had better not water it, just keep the soil moist. When the weather is dry, it can be properly watered for 1 to 2 times, and the wetting depth can reach 15cm.

4. Fertilizing and topdressing for 2-3 times

In the cultivation methods and precautions of tulips, fertilization can not be ignored. It is understood that tulips do not have high requirements for fertilizer, but if they want to grow well, it is necessary to apply some nitrogen fertilizer properly. When the root system is well developed, 2 kg of calcium nitrate is applied every 100 square meters, spread in three times, each time at an interval of more than one week.

Note: tulips are sensitive to fertilizer, so in early spring, from stem and leaf extension to budding, flower friends only need to fertilize 2 or 3 times.

5. Temperature, 9-13 ℃

How to raise tulips, temperature is also very important. It is understood that tulips like warm winters and cool summers, and the best growth temperature is 9-13 ℃, so in order to make tulips grow fast, it is best to keep them at this temperature. It is worth mentioning that tulips have strong cold tolerance and can withstand the low temperature of-35 ℃ in winter.

Note: tulips avoid high temperature. Flowers tend to decay if the temperature is too high. Under cool and cold conditions, tulips are not only colorful, but also have a long flowering period, so in terms of temperature, flower friends should not be careless.

6. Pest control

How to raise potted tulips, pest control is particularly important. In the process of tulip growth, the main diseases are stem rot, soft rot, broken color disease, quenching disease, blind bud and so on, and most of the pests are aphids.

Note: in order to prevent the invasion of diseases and insect pests, flower friends should disinfect the soil before planting tulips; in addition, they should also maintain good ventilation to prevent high temperature and humidity. As for the prevention and control of tulip diseases and insect pests, there is a special introduction, so I won't say much here.

Culture methods and matters needing attention of potted tulips

Tulip flower shape is unique, the flower shape is huge, the color is bright, and there are many varieties, the ornamental value is especially good. Today, I will write out its breeding methods and points for attention and share them all with you.

Culture methods and matters needing attention of potted tulips

1. Selection of bulb root and basin soil.

Usually the choice of two potted tulip bulbs and the configuration of the head are very important, we must choose the kind of mature, robust, solid and intact high-quality bulbs free of disease and insect stains. The potted soil for cultivating potted tulips needs to choose fertile, loose, well-drained and slightly acidic soil. Tulip is a kind of fertilizer-loving plant. When preparing potted soil, rotten leaves and rotten cake fertilizer can be selected as base fertilizer.

2. Light and temperature

Potted tulips should choose sunny places when raising tulips, and when raising tulips at home, it is best to put them on a sunny windowsill or balcony, because it is a kind of light-loving plant. If it does not come into contact with the sun for a long time, it will make its leaves yellow and directly affect the flowering period. Tulips grow fastest when the external temperature is between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, and blossom in time. When the external temperature is too high or too low, it will affect the growth of tulips and keep it from blooming.

3. Matters needing attention in potted tulip culture

After buying fresh bulbs when cultivating potted tulips, the bulbs must be disinfected first, otherwise they are prone to rot after planting. In addition, the potted soil of potted tulips must choose sandy loam, and the alkaline soil with high viscosity must not be used. How to grow potted tulips? Culture methods of potted tulips

Tulip flowers are gorgeous, loved by many friends, many people began to choose to cultivate potted tulips, then how to raise potted tulips? Next, I would like to introduce to you the cultivation methods of potted tulips.

First, choose the right variety and the right seed ball

(1) choose dwarf varieties

Not all tulips are suitable for potted plants. In fact, it is best to choose genotypic dwarf varieties or wild tulip varieties because of their short stems and compact leaves. Dwarfing potted tulip plants can also be achieved by reducing the length of cold treatment or by using growth hormones such as dwarf hormone.

(2) choose the correct seed size.

Tulip potted plants need high quality and large size bulbs. This is because even if only one seed ball in the pot does not germinate, it will affect the cultivation effect of the whole pot and make it an inferior product.

(3) the plan from planting bulb treatment to flowering stage

After the bulbs are harvested, the bulbs of tulips need to be treated at high temperature and then at a low temperature in order to make them blossom in early spring. Whether it is tulip potted flower production or cut flower production, to blossom ahead of time, these requirements must be met. It can be done by temperature treatment. In the stage of heat treatment after harvest, leaves, pedicels and flowers (in the above order) are formed in the bulb. Once the pistil is formed, the flower has been formed, which means that the G stage has been reached. After the G stage is reached, after a short intermediate temperature treatment, the bulbs that want to bloom in the early stage can be cold treated. For late flowering bulbs, the stage of heat treatment must be prolonged to delay the start of cold treatment.

Second, control the growth of potted tulips by correct cold treatment.

(1) pay attention to temperature

For wild-type or other dwarf varieties, the preparation for potted flower production is actually the same as cut flower production. But be careful not to make the balls cold for too long, which will make them grow too tall. For the treatment of early flowering bulbs, it is best to cool the dry bulbs for a certain period of time, and then complete the cold treatment two months before the bulbs are ready to be moved into the greenhouse.

The unrooted bulbs can be put on the pot directly to complete all their cold treatment. Too many roots can even be controlled by low temperature after rooting. When the cultivation is promoted in the early stage, insufficient cold treatment time can sometimes lead to blind flowers.

For tulips that are required to bloom at Christmas, special varieties should be used and special treatment should be carried out.

(2) the treatment after the seed ball arrives at the goods

It is recommended to use the seed ball that has been dealt with. In this way, there is no need for storage and the danger caused by storage.

When the goods arrive, the balls cannot be planted or processed, and they need to be stored in dry, low-temperature and moderately ventilated buildings. The best way is to store partially cold-treated bulbs at a low temperature of 5 ℃ or 9 ℃. The uncold-treated bulbs are stored at 17 ℃ and the environment requires dry and good ventilation until the bulbs are planted or placed in a cold storage and the required cold treatment is completed at 9 ℃, 5 ℃ or 2 ℃.

Third, use fresh basin soil and cover it.

Prepare suitable basin soil with a good ratio of moisture to air (up to 80% moisture and at least 10% air content); pH6 to 7% EC
