How to raise crickets
Cricket, also known as cricket, is a very popular insect. So far, in addition to the derivative cricket industry, it has also been widely used for consumption, especially in the past few years, its edible value is even more popular. Some ancient prescriptions even use it as medicine, so how should this thing be raised?
1. Layout of culture environment
Because the cricket is relatively small, so the culture environment has a great impact on it. At present, cricket breeding is basically carried out in imitation of the wild mode, generally carried out in iron cages, the size of which is controlled at about 1.5 to 1. 5 meters, and the number of crickets raised in a box is about 500. In order to facilitate management, the bottom and all around should be ventilated, and the top should be covered with gauze. There should be bedding at the bottom of the box, preferably with hay, not with fresh plants, which are easy to rot.
2. Living environment control
After waiting for the aquaculture cage to be built, the living environment will be built. Crickets don't like light and are nocturnal objects, so the lights in the breeding room need to be dim all the year round, with only 3-4 hours of light a day to keep the crickets quiet for a while. The temperature can be controlled at 20 ℃-25 ℃, which is the most suitable for crickets to survive. Crickets under 10 ℃ may hibernate. Ventilation and light openings can not be directly to the culture box, which is not conducive to the growth of crickets.
3. Food management
Crickets are omnivores, and they can eat things such as grass, vegetables and ants, so there is generally no need to worry too much about the lack of food. The food of crickets has two choices: dry food and thin food. The dry food is things such as vegetable leaves and grass, and the thin material is a sticky substance made from a mixture of protein powder, glucose and honey. The two types of food can be used interchangeably to keep them fresh. Feeding time is generally concentrated on the eve of nightfall, and some green fodder such as vegetable leaves can be placed during the day to transition.
4. Culture management
When the above is ready, we should pay attention to the breeding management, daily inspections should not be too frequent, crickets like a quiet environment, outside noise is easy to stimulate it. The covered gauze should be flexible for a long time. The cricket has a high bounce and may touch the gauze. If the gauze is too hard, it is easy to hurt the cricket. Also regularly check the density of the tank, crickets have a certain degree of aggression, when the density is high, it is easy to fight, if there is a fight, then the density of the tank may be relatively high.
The above is a simple way to raise crickets, interested friends can refer to this process. The adaptation of insects is relatively strong, relatively not good feeding, coupled with its food intake is not large, breeding is not suitable.
