Baibu, also known as herb, lice medicine, is a perennial herbaceous plant, its underground root can be used as medicine, has the effect of moistening lung and relieving cough, insecticidal and itching, and has been planted at home in recent years. So how do you plant a hundred parts? Let's learn about its planting techniques.

1. Land selection and preparation

Baibu is suitable to be planted in sandy loam soil with deep soil, loose and fertile soil, rich in humus and good drainage. After selecting the planting land, an appropriate amount of farm manure, calcium superphosphate and plant ash are applied per mu. Mix it evenly and sprinkle it on the ground. After 15-20 days of infiltration, turn the soil 30 cm deep, rake flat in shaping, ridge to make the border, and dig a good drainage ditch on the edge of the border to prepare for sowing.

2. Sowing seeds

Sowing can be sowed in spring or autumn, generally sowing in March-April in the north, using the method of raising seedlings in the seedbed, sowing in trenches on the seedbed, covering soil 3-4 cm after sowing, watering once after sowing, and covering with straw to keep the soil moist, and then watering regularly to keep the soil moist. When the seedlings grow to 8-12 cm, they can be planted. In the south, the seeds are generally sown from August to September. After soil preparation, the border surface is ditched and direct seeded with 4-5 kg per mu. After sowing, the soil is also covered with 4-5cm. After emergence in the next spring, it will be replanted in autumn.

3. Field management

When the seedlings are unearthed, they should be ploughed and weeded for 2-3 times, and fertilized in time after each weeding to promote the growth of the seedlings. When the seedlings grow to 150 cm, bamboo poles or branches should be inserted next to the planting to provide for the winding of stems and vines. In order to make them strong, 3-4 can be tied together for more convenient management. After the plant withered on the ground in winter, it is necessary to cultivate the soil and fertilize it to survive the winter.

4. Pest control

The main disease of Baibu is leaf spot, which is a kind of bacterial disease, which mainly harms the leaves. When the disease occurs, the leaves appear yellow-brown spots, resulting in abnormal photosynthesis, which generally begins to occur in May, and is more serious from June to August. First of all, the diseased leaves should be removed to avoid the disease, spread to the stems and vines, and spray Podoll solution. The pests are snails and red spiders, snails can apply lime powder or spray lime water on the edge of the plant, while red spiders can spray stone sulfur mixture to control.
