Virus disease is the main reason for the degradation of tulip germplasm. There are many kinds of viruses that harm tulips, including mosaic virus and broken color virus. Yellow stripes or granular spots appeared on the leaves of plants infected by mosaic virus, which produced dark spots on the petals, and in severe cases, the leaves rotted; the flowers of plants infected by broken color virus appeared light yellow or white stripes or irregular spots, which produced broken flowers on red or purple varieties, and unique mottle on the leaves. After the damage, the plant grew poorly and dwarfed, and the number of bulbs decreased.

Prevention and control of tulip mosaic disease:

1. Healthy seed bulbs and virus-free persistent roots were used as propagation materials, and appropriate chlorothalonil plus new high-fat membrane was used for seed soaking and disinfection.

2. To supply fertilizer reasonably, it is necessary to keep the basin soil moist, topdressing 2Mel 3 times and spraying new high-fat film at the same time to preserve soil moisture and fertilizer. During budding, the temperature should be 20 ℃-23 ℃, not less than 20 ℃. During the whole flowering period, the night temperature was not less than 8 ℃. After budding, spraying Zhuangtiling at the right time could make the buds strong, the petals enlarged, the flowers colorful, the flowers fragrant and the florescence prolonged.

3. Chemical control. Remove the diseased plant and burn it in time. Pay attention to the prevention and control of virus-transmitting aphids and, if necessary, use targeted agents plus new high-fat membrane for prevention and control.
