Cyclamen is very susceptible to disease and should be planted in a clean, well-drained place. The main diseases were fusarium oxysporum, wilting disease, soft root disease, gray mold, wilt disease and spider.

1. Fusarium oxysporum disease. Bacteria often lurk on seedlings until they begin to develop after transplanting; in the process of transportation, attention must be paid to temperature and humidity management, strict disinfection, soil, flower pots should also be disinfected. Yellow seedlings will be thrown away, seedlings transplanted after the first 5 weeks, the application of thiophane methyl or chlorothalonil to prevent.

2. Wilting disease. After transplanting seedlings, stems and leaves are poorly developed, black fungi appear on leaf edges, light red lesions appear on vascular bundle system of petioles and corms; large areas of light orange spores appear on organs of residual plants, and this disease will spread rapidly; take out diseased plants and apply thiophanyl methyl or chlorothalonil for control.

3. Soft root disease. Symptoms are sudden wilting of plants, followed by lodging, small bulbs; the main reasons are that the bulbs are buried too deep, the temperature is too high, the humidity is too high, etc.; it is necessary to avoid watering in the high temperature season by spraying.

Indoor farming is not like outdoor farming, and all conditions need to be created. In cyclamen breeding methods, we introduce indoor potted plants, cyclamen on soil, light, moisture and so on are required, once improper operation, leaves will grow insects or disease. As for the cyclamen bug, check out the symptoms and solutions of several pests below and you'll know what to do.

(1)Cyclamen pest symptoms and solutions

① Mites

Mites are one of the main pests of cyclamen. They mainly suck sap from young leaves and buds. The symptoms are: cyclamen leaves will curl inward along the leaf margin, the leaves will turn brown and oily, the leaves will shrink and deform, the buds will turn black and rot, the petals will not spread, and the flowers will be abnormal.

Solution: Apply dicofol, pyridaben, acarbide emulsion, etc., spray the liquid to the young leaves, buds and buds in the center of the bulb, so as to cause harm to pests. Mites are very resistant to drugs, and several drugs should be applied in rotation.

② slugs

Slug, is also one of the common diseases and insect pests of cyclamen, it mainly attacks the young leaves, bud top. When attacked by the insect, cyclamen leaves will have gaps or holes, young leaves will be incomplete.

Solution: We directly catch, in addition, in order to prevent the re-emergence of the insect, should reduce the greenhouse ground air humidity, timely clean up the greenhouse internal environment, minimize the survival environment of slugs.

③ Aphids

Aphids are one of the main pests attacking flowers, including cyclamen naturally. It mainly infects the back of cyclamen leaves, sucking the juice of young leaves and buds. When it is infested, the leaves will wrinkle, turn yellow, or even fall off.

Solution: go to the market to buy a sticky insect board, use it to kill; in addition, we can apply dichlorvos, omethoate, aphid pine, Uranus and so on to spray. When spraying, pay attention to spraying the solution to the back of the leaf surface. Aphids have strong resistance to drugs. Several drugs should be applied alternately.

④ cabbage worm

The cabbage worm parasitizes in the young bud, young leaf, new and old leaf, bud, petal and other places of cyclamen, it likes to feed on the back of the leaf. The symptoms of this pest are holes in the leaves and nicks in the edges.

Solution: When the insect is found, it is sprayed with dichlorfon, trichlorfon, dichlorvos and other drugs; the biological pesticide B1 suspension can also be used for leaf back spray control during the larva damage period; in addition, the environment around cyclamen should also be cleaned properly to allow it to grow healthily.

5 Cyclamen flies

The pest mainly attacks the internal tissues of cyclamen rhizomes and corms, causing the damaged parts to overflow and contract, and then causing the leaves to wither and yellow, and in severe cases, causing the plant to die.

Solution: If it is larvae, you can apply trichlorfon, dichlorvos, omethoate, phoxim and other root irrigation to kill; if it is adults, then apply trichlorfon, dichlorvos and other spray kill.

(2)Symptoms and Solutions of Cyclamen Disease

In addition to being attacked by insects, diseases also endanger the health of cyclamen at all times. It is understood that there are four main diseases of cyclamen, blight, leaf rot, blight and anthracnose, among which leaf spot disease will be very serious, we should remedy in time, the specific symptoms and solutions are as follows:

① Rhizoctonia

The disease mainly damages seedlings and generally occurs at the stage from emergence to transplantation. When infected, cyclamen produces brown spots at the base of the stem, which expand around the stem and eventually dry up and die. Rhizoctonia solani is an infection of Rhizoctonia solani, which is easy to occur under low temperature and high humidity.

Solution: At the beginning of the disease, 50% Likujing 1000 times solution can be sprayed or irrigated; it is very troublesome to get this disease, so we should focus on prevention. We can spray chemicals to prevent blight within 3 days after cyclamen germination, and spray prevention regularly throughout the seedling period.

② leaf rot

Leaf rot is one of the common diseases and insect pests of cyclamen. It mainly damages leaves, petioles, buds, tubers and other parts of cyclamen.

Petiole disease symptoms: produce black-brown water-like spots, leaves lose vitality, yellow. The vascular bundles of diseased petioles turn brown and spread to tubers, resulting in blackening of buds and formation of bud blight.

Symptoms on tubers: vascular bundles near bud point turn brown, then turn dark brown and rot, rot from vascular bundles to corms, finally die, and the ground part wilts.

Solution: copper preparations can be used in the early stage of the disease, such as 70% can kill 1000 times or 1 million units of oxytetracycline 1000 times liquid spray or root irrigation to prevent disease.

③ blight

Cyclamen got this disease, the initial symptoms are from the ground part of the leaves lost vitality, leaves slightly yellow, and then yellow leaves increased, gradually spread upward, except for the top few leaves intact, the rest are dead, open tubers, vascular brown.

Solution: 50% carbendazim 800 times, 50% Likujing 1000 times spray available in the early stage of the disease. Or irrigation root with 50% root huming 1000 times, 70% mancozeb 500 times. Root irrigation 200 ml per plant, once every 7 to 10 days, 3 to 4 times in succession. Root irrigation is generally better than spraying.

④ Anthrax

Anthrax, one of the common pests of cyclamen, occurs all year round. Symptoms: cyclamen leaves will produce round spots, the middle of the spot is pale brown or white, there are many small black spots on the birth, which are conidia, serious damage will lead to leaf death.

Solution: At the beginning of the disease, 80% anthrax can be used 800 times, 70% mancozeb 500 times; in addition, everyone needs to cut off and burn the diseased leaves in time.

5 Grey mold

Gray mold long hair born in winter, once encountered rainy continuous, wet weather without sunshine, gray mold will be out of control. When suffering from this disease, cyclamen leaves, branches, inflorescences will appear brown spots, with the disease aggravated spread throughout the plant.

Solution: In winter, it is necessary to strengthen maintenance management, increase indoor temperature, enhance light transmittance, and reduce humidity. Once the diseased plants are found, immediately move the plants to a ventilated place and put them in the sun, which can play an effective control effect. In addition, when the disease is serious, Bordeaux mixture can be sprayed for treatment.

About cyclamen pest control, Xiaobian introduced here, a small plant, pests and diseases to a lot, it is incredible. Therefore, in order to avoid the influence of diseases and insect pests, flower friends in the process of breeding cyclamen, must pay attention to maintenance, otherwise it will be difficult to get sick. Of course, even if you are sick, you can solve it according to the above method.

What are the pests of cyclamen? How to prevent it?

What are the pests of cyclamen? How to prevent it?

The main diseases and insect pests are soft rot, anthracnose, spore nematode, root knot nematode, aphid, red spider, cutworm, leaf roller and so on.

Control methods are as follows:

(1)Soft rot storage room with 1% formalin disinfection, pay attention to the cultivation bed ventilation, dry, implement rotation. The potted plants are replaced annually. Infuse phoxim and other pesticides to kill underground pests; irrigate rhizosphere soil of diseased plants with 600 ~ 800 times solution of dixon, and spray agricultural streptomycin 1000 times solution.

(2)The control of other diseases and insect pests is the same as the control method of similar diseases and insect pests of flowers in front.
