Unidentified package appears, Kinmen companion animal hospital alert handling

Ouyang Mengshu, a veterinarian who works in Kinmen Companion Animal Hospital, said that he returned to the hospital after a noon break today and found an unknown package at the door, completely sealed and not opened. If he saw the package at the entrance of the veterinary hospital, it was usually animal corpses, but he observed that it was not so. After careful inspection, the mail was sent to "Shandong Province of the Sixth Year" and the receiving place was "Wuyuan Bay of the Sixth Year". The seal of the express delivery was intact and unopened.

When he was unsure of the contents, he contacted the police station to find out. After opening it, he found a mousetrap cage and a piece of meat from China. Ouyang Mengshu said: "When I opened the meat, I directly cursed the three-character scriptures. As a veterinarian, I knew very well how serious the African swine fever would cause." He immediately asked the police not to discard it and must send it to the inspection unit for further inspection.

The guest is kind enough to send it, but I don't know if the delivery unit actually stuffed the meat strips.

Ouyang Mengshu originally thought it was an unknown package maliciously abandoned, later asked the guests in the hospital, found that for a warm-hearted guest bought a mouse cage to give to the hospital, because the hospital rest so first put at the door. However, because the package was completely sealed, even the freight bar code was completely attached to the top, and the donor did not know that Chinese meat strips were placed inside, causing a false alarm.

The FDA confirmed receipt of the test.

Peng Mingxing, head of the Animal Quarantine Division of the Bureau of Prevention and Inspection, confirmed that the illegal meat had been received by the Kinmen Epidemic Prevention Station today and had been sent to the Kinmen Quarantine Station of the Bureau of Prevention and Inspection. The meat was about the length of a finger. The whole piece was transferred to the Animal Health Center for inspection. The answer will be announced immediately. Peng Mingxing also called on other people if similar situations occur, must inform local epidemic prevention units, do not arbitrarily abandon.

Veterinarian alert appeal: if there is a similar situation, be sure to inform the epidemic prevention unit

In order to remind the public, Ouyang Mengshu posted this message on Facebook, appealing to all parties: "Please pay attention, remember, if you receive this kind of strip or any pork products, do not, do not lose, also do not throw into the kitchen waste bucket, please inform the epidemic prevention unit to deal with, because, in case there is African swine fever virus in it, that throw will spread."
