Strawberry is a fruit of Rosaceae, strawberry is very rich in nutrients, in which the content of vitamin C is the top several fruits, with the laudatory name of "fruit queen". Now the planting area of strawberries is expanding, and more and more people are planting strawberries. But it can't be planted everywhere. Because strawberries have certain requirements on the growth environment, the following editor brings you the requirements of strawberries on environmental conditions, let's have a look!

1. Soil

Strawberries do not have a great demand for soil, but the roots of strawberries are not deep, so it is necessary to choose sandy soil with strong water retention and deep soft when planting. Ensure the oiliness of the soil, control the soil PH value at the partial acidity, and should not be planted on the over-sticky and potholed soil. And strawberry has a great demand for nutrition, insufficient nutrition will have a great impact on the growth of strawberry, which will not only hinder flower bud differentiation, but also lead to yield decline and poor fruit quality. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure adequate soil fertility, apply sufficient base fertilizer before planting, improve soil fertility and ensure the healthy growth of strawberries.

2. Temperature

Strawberry can quickly adapt to temperature changes, its cold tolerance is strong, in the dormant period can withstand a low temperature of about 10 degrees below zero without death. The aboveground plants can withstand about 4 degrees, but long-term exposure to low temperature will reduce the flowering and fruiting rate of strawberries and lead to a decrease in yield. Therefore, we still have to control the temperature, strawberries in the mature period of the temperature should be controlled at about 23 degrees, the root growth temperature should be kept at about 18 degrees. If it is less than 15 degrees, the growth will be limited. The temperature should not be too high, it is easy to reduce plant growth and even lead to death.

3. Moisture

Strawberry root distribution is not deep, its distribution depth will not exceed 20 cm, so the demand for water is relatively high. In the planting process to ensure that there is sufficient water, the seedling stage to keep the soil moist, lack of water will affect the growth of strawberries, the growth becomes weaker, the incidence of diseases and insect pests becomes higher. Watering in time during the fruiting period, sufficient water can promote fruit development, increase yield and enhance the quality of strawberries. But the moisture should not be too much, too much will easily lead to retting root rotten fruit and other phenomena. Plants die in severe cases, so pay attention to drainage when overwatering or long-term rainy days.

4. Lighting

Strawberry is a kind of light-loving fruit, but it has a very strong shade tolerance, but its growth will be affected to some extent. The light intensity and time are closely related to the growth of strawberries. when the light is sufficient, the strawberry plant is strong, the fruit size is moderate, the color is dark and the quality is good. If there is not enough light, it can grow normally, but its flowering and fruiting rate will decrease significantly. Therefore, in planting to ensure that there is sufficient light for strawberry growth, but strawberry plants should not be exposed to direct sunlight for a long time to avoid burns.

The above is a brief introduction to the growth environment requirements of strawberries, strawberries can not be cultivated in open field in many places because of these environmental conditions. Therefore, greenhouse cultivation has gradually become the mainstream cultivation method of strawberries, so friends who do not meet the planting environment should try not to plant it. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. Thank you for your reading and support.
