How to deal with pigeon droppings
In the process of breeding pigeons, many people will feel that pigeon droppings do not know how to deal with, and sometimes can only be casually piled together, or put in the field, used as farm manure. In fact, pigeon feces contain certain proteins, amino acids, vitamins and trace elements, but can also be used as feed in addition to chemical fertilizer. So what do we do with pigeon droppings? Let's learn some of the simplest ways to deal with pigeon droppings.
1. Drying treatment
The drying method includes two aspects, the first is the ground drying method, when we deal with pigeon feces, we first add appropriate amount of wheat bran to pigeon feces, the content of wheat bran should not exceed 20%. Then spread out the well-mixed pigeon dung, lay it on the ground and dry naturally with the help of the sun, sharpness and other external forces. The second kind is greenhouse drying, in fact, the method is very simple, that is, pigeon dung, according to the thickness of about two centimeters, laid on the greenhouse ground, natural drying can be.
2. Silage fermentation treatment.
The second method of treatment is to use the principle of fermentation. The fermentation method we use is usually silage fermentation. The method of fermentation is very simple. Pigeon dung, corn meal, grain bran, wheat bran, fermented feed and starter are fully stirred, or pigeon dung, grass powder, bran, EM bacteria are filled. Then add the right amount of water to wet, grasp it with your hands and knead it into a ball, and finally put it into a plastic bag and a sealed container for sealed fermentation. Generally speaking, about three days will be enough, of course, it may be about a week, and the fermentation time will be longer in winter.
3. Chemical treatment
Chemical treatment of pigeon droppings is actually not very common for us at present. So if we are using chemical treatment of pigeon droppings, we need to collect pigeon droppings as soon as possible and then mix them with formaldehyde or formalin with no more than 7/1000 of the total. And the chemical treatment takes a very short time, usually three hours after mixing. The most important thing is that it can improve the quality of feed, improve the utilization rate of protein and reduce the loss of nutrients.
4. The function of pigeon dung
Pigeon dung has two main functions, which are used as feed and fertilizer. Fresh pigeon droppings can be directly used to feed pigs, which can reduce environmental pollution. The second is fermented pigeon dung, which can be used to feed fish, shrimp, breeding yellow powder insects, fly maggots, earthworms, chickens, ducks and so on, which can reduce the harm of disease. Fermented pigeon dung can also be used as fertilizer and water products, planting bio-organic fertilizer and so on.
In fact, there are many things that we usually think are of no value, but if we use them later, the use value is still very high. Pigeon dung is basically worthless before, and there is also the problem of polluting the environment, but if treated in this way, it will not only protect the environment, but also improve the secondary utilization rate.
