Fertilization techniques for High yield of Pepper
Pepper is the most common vegetable in our life, and it is also one of our commonly used condiments. Pepper is not only of high edible value, but also can be planted as an ornamental plant. In the cultivation of pepper, fertilization is an important link, it is related to the yield and quality of pepper, so how to apply fertilizer in order to obtain high yield? Let's get to know it.
1. Seedling substrate
When raising pepper seedlings, it is best to choose plots of vegetables and tobacco that have never been planted with eggplant fruits to dig up the soil, which can be dug out from the topsoil of planting or onion, garlic, celery and cereals, dried or broken through filtered fine soil. The fully rotten barnyard manure is also broken, screened and set aside, and mix them in the 1:3 proportion. Then 1 kg of calcium phosphate, 20 kg of plant ash and 0.5 kg of diammonium phosphate were applied to every 1000 kg of cultivated soil, which could be used as seedling substrate.
2. Apply sufficient base fertilizer
Before the seedlings are transplanted to the planting land, in order to promote the growth of seedlings, sufficient base fertilizer is usually applied in the field, which is one of the effective measures for high yield of pepper. Base fertilizer should be based on organic fertilizer, and organic fertilizer should be fully mature, so as not to bring germs and insect eggs, resulting in diseases and insect pests caused by seedlings. Application is combined with land preparation and ploughing, generally spreading or furrow application of rotten farm manure 4000-5000 kg per mu, with diammonium phosphate or urea 30 kg, plant ash 100kg, can continuously improve nutrients for seedlings.
3. Reasonable topdressing
Pepper needs a large amount of fertilizer in the growing period, in order to make it have enough nutrients to blossom and bear melon, it generally needs topdressing 2-3 times in the growing period. For the first time in the young fruit stage, 1500 kg of human feces and urine can be applied per mu. It is recommended that before the rainy season, if there is no rain, it can be watered in time after topdressing, which can speed up the absorption of fertilizer. The second time in the full fruit period, when the three-yuan compound fertilizer 10-15 kg per mu, the same topdressing watering, which can provide phosphorus and potassium fertilizer for the plant, there is an obvious yield-increasing effect. Before the third harvest, it is necessary to chase and promote manure, basically applying manure and urine fertilizer every other week, which is most appropriate in the early morning or evening.
4. Extra-root fertilization
Extra-root fertilization generally refers to foliar fertilizer spraying, which has the advantages of low dosage, high absorption rate, fast effect, and can enhance plant photosynthesis and chlorophyll content, which is conducive to the accumulation of plant organic matter and effectively prevent the phenomenon of falling flowers and fruits. Generally speaking, the output can be increased by about 10% and 20%. Specifically, the low concentration of borax solution was sprayed 1-2 times at the flowering stage, and the low concentration potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution could be sprayed many times in the later growth stage through the fruit setting rate, and the yield increase effect was excellent. It should also be noted that spraying foliar fertilizer is prohibited in the first half of the harvest.
