Sturgeon is one of the earliest vertebrae among the existing fish. Many friends think that Sturgeon is Chinese Sturgeon, but it is wrong. Chinese Sturgeon is a key protected animal in China, so it is not allowed to eat. So the Sturgeon we eat now are edible species, and the breeding area of Sturgeon in our country is also relatively wide, but there are certain conditions for breeding Sturgeon. So the editor brought the conditions of Sturgeon culture today, let's take a look at it!

1. Water temperature

Sturgeon on the requirements of water temperature is not high, can quickly adapt to a variety of water temperature, the lowest can withstand 0 degrees water temperature, the highest can not exceed 35 degrees. However, the most suitable water temperature for artificial breeding is about 20 degrees, and the water temperature is controlled at about 19 degrees during the production and incubation period. When the winter temperature is low, the Sturgeon's appetite drops or even stops eating, so the water temperature should be controlled at about 15 degrees to ensure that the Sturgeon eat normally.

2. Dissolved oxygen content

Sturgeon demand for dissolved oxygen is very high, in culture, if the dissolved oxygen content in the water is unstable, it is not suitable for Sturgeon culture. When breeding, the dissolved oxygen in the water should be controlled above 5mg. If it is lower than this value, it will reduce the appetite of Sturgeon. If below 3mg, Sturgeon stops eating, showing symptoms of hypoxia, resulting in slow movement, coma and even death of Sturgeon.

3. acidity and alkalinity

The pH of the aquaculture water is also very important for the growth of Sturgeon. Sturgeon can not grow in acidic water. We should control the PH value of the water at about 7.5. The alkaline water is more suitable for the growth of Sturgeon. If it is sour, the amount of carbon dioxide in the water will increase greatly, resulting in a sharp decline in dissolved oxygen. It has a serious impact on the growth of Sturgeon, and will also increase ammonia nitrogen and other gases, resulting in Sturgeon growth retardation and even death.

4. Lighting

Sturgeon's demand for light will vary with lifestyle changes, in vertical swimming, Sturgeon will have a certain photophobia. However, as the Sturgeon slowly enters the benthic stage, it will gradually disappear, and the light usually does not affect the growth and development of the Sturgeon. However, in the high temperature environment in summer, the sun shining directly on the water surface will increase the water temperature and affect the growth of Sturgeon. Therefore, we should build a reasonable sunshade on the breeding pond.

5. Transparency

When breeding, in order to ensure the healthy growth of Sturgeon, in the breeding process, we should ensure that the culture pond has at least 50 centimeters of transparency. Clean up Sturgeon feces and residual bait in time to avoid reducing the transparency of the water body, control the amount of plankton and other substances, and ensure water quality. When the Sturgeon gradually grow up, the transparency can be reduced to about 30 cm, so that the growth of the Sturgeon can be observed so that problems can be dealt with in time.

The above is a brief introduction of Sturgeon culture conditions, in fact, there are ammonia nitrogen gas, water flow rate and so on, which need us to manage well in the process of breeding. It is also the main factor affecting the growth of Sturgeon, so we must pay attention to these aspects when breeding to avoid unnecessary losses. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
