Rice is an indispensable staple food for southerners every day. It has a very wide planting area in southern China. Almost every household in rural areas has planting, and with the continuous growth of China's population, the demand for rice is also increasing. There are still many new growers joining, but their planting techniques are not very mature. The following small series brings you rice planting technology. Let's take a look together!

1. Seed treatment

Before planting, we should select excellent rice seeds, and select purebred plump seeds that can adapt well according to local weather changes and soil conditions. Then soak the seeds and disinfect them. When disinfecting, pay attention not to hurt the seeds. Disinfectants such as strong chlorine essence can be used, which can effectively disinfect and will not cause damage to the seeds. After soaking, take it out and wrap it with wet gauze to germinate, control the temperature at about 31 degrees, pay attention to turning the pile when the temperature increases, and reduce the temperature to about 25 degrees when most of the seeds are white. In the germination time to pay attention to temperature changes, the temperature control in the appropriate range, germination in the cool after drying good sowing seedlings.

2. Seedling transplanting

The common method of rice seedling cultivation in rural areas of China is seedling tray cultivation, preparation of nutrient soil in seedling tray, application of sufficient base fertilizer, base fertilizer mainly farm manure, combined with appropriate compound fertilizer, and mixing it evenly with soil. When the temperature is above 7 degrees Celsius, sow in due time, cover fine soil after sowing, raise the soil temperature, and ensure that the seeds can germinate normally and various nutrients required for germination. Seedling management should be done well after emergence. High-quality rice seedlings are the key to ensure successful rice planting. When seedlings grow to about 8 cm, they can be transplanted.

3. Water and fertilizer management

Rice has a very high demand for water, so it is necessary to ensure a certain water level in the rice field during the whole growth period of rice. And according to the growth of rice and soil moisture content appropriate watering, for example, in the young panicle stage and heading flowering stage is a large water demand, these two periods to ensure sufficient water, timely watering. Fertilization of rice is also very important. The tillering stage of rice is the first stage when rice needs more fertilizer, so it is necessary to carry out the first topdressing. Adequate nutrition can promote the growth of rice seedlings, ensure the fullness of rice quality, improve yield, and then appropriate topdressing according to soil and rice growth in the middle and late stages.

4. Field management

After transplanting, there will generally be empty planting phenomenon, so we should do a good job of seedling inspection after transplanting. If there are holes, we should timely supplement high-quality rice seedlings to ensure planting density and basic number of rice seedlings. And before and after transplanting can be appropriate spraying field sealing agent, inhibit the germination of weed seeds in rice fields. Weeding should also be done well after transplanting to prevent weeds from robbing rice seedlings of growth nutrients. Weeding at the same time also do a good job of pest control, rice pests are more serious, common leaf miner, can be properly sprayed pesticides for control, pay attention to dosage, prevent harm to rice.

The above is a brief introduction to rice planting technology. In fact, China's rice planting technology is very mature. However, there will still be some planting failures, mainly caused by improper management. Therefore, I hope that everyone should do a good job in field management when planting, so as to ensure the normal growth of rice and avoid unnecessary losses.
