Leek is a kind of vegetable that many people like to eat very much, and it also plays a seasoning role in all kinds of dishes in our daily life. Leek is planted in all parts of our country, and its yield is relatively high, but for some novices, it is not so simple, there are often a variety of problems, resulting in insufficient production. In view of these problems, the editor below brings you the technical points of planting and management of leek, let's have a look!

1. Moisturizing

After planting, the local dog in the leek shed should be filled with farm manure or forage in time, and then dig a cold-proof ditch along the greenhouse, which should not be too large, about 30 centimeters each. And poultry droppings or straw also need to be filled in the ditch. To prevent leek in the greenhouse from being affected by low temperature, the grass curtain at the top of the greenhouse should be uniform, the length should be at least higher than the base of the greenhouse, and all the cracks in the wall should be strictly covered with soil.

2. Lighting

Adequate light is an important factor to ensure the healthy growth of leeks. During the growing period of leeks, it is necessary to ensure that the light time of leeks is not less than 12 hours a day. Whenever the sun rises and shines on the greenhouse in the morning, the grass curtain should be opened in time, and then cover it back when the sun gradually sets in the afternoon. The work of uncovering the film should be carried out even in overcast and rainy weather, and the work of artificial light filling should be carried out properly when the natural light is insufficient.

3. Topdressing

The fertilizer tolerance of leek is relatively strong, different from other vegetables, leek has a large demand for ammonia fertilizer in its growth. Therefore, we should not only apply fully mature farm manure, but also add an appropriate amount of ammonium sulfate or compound fertilizer. Meet the nutritional needs of leek, promote the growth of leek and increase the yield. When topdressing, farm manure is applied on the border, and then topdressing is needed for each harvest, or it can be carried out with watering.

4. Watering

Leek needs more water, and the humidity should be about 65% during the growth period of leek. Moisture should not be too much, if too much, the soil is easy to harden, which is not conducive to the breathing of leek roots, and is very easy to cause leek rotting roots and white tips. Therefore, we should properly water the leek according to its growth and soil water content, and water it properly about 10 days before each harvest. And every day when uncovering the film, it is necessary to observe whether there are water droplets in the leek leaves, if not early watering, on the contrary, less watering or no watering.

5. Loosen the soil

Loosening soil is a basic work in the cultivation of leek. Proper loosening of soil can not only promote the growth of leek, but also increase the temperature of soil. After each watering, the soil should be loosened properly, and the depth of the soil should be the same as the edge ridge to ensure that the growth rate of leek is the same. Sowing narrow leek fields should loosen the soil and cultivate the soil in time after harvest. The depth of loose soil and the condition of soil directly determine the yield and quality of leek.

In addition, we should also pay attention to do a good job of ventilation in the leek greenhouse, the permeability is poor, although the growth rate of leek will become faster. But its leaves will be significantly reduced, poor quality, and sometimes lead to leaf tip yellowing and withering, so we must also do a good job of ventilation. The above is a brief introduction of the technical points of leek management, and that's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. Thank you for your reading and support.
