Morinda officinalis is a perennial woody vine, which has the effects of tonifying kidney yang, strengthening muscles and bones, dispelling rheumatism and so on. But if you want to plant Morinda officinalis, it is very important to do its reproduction work well, so what are the breeding methods of Morinda officinalis? Let's take a look.

1. Seed propagation

The seeds of Morinda officinalis should not be hidden for a long time, so it is best to sow with picking and sowing, first of all, choose the strong growing plant as the mother plant, strengthen the management, and make it blossom and bear more fruit. The seeds were harvested from October to November, then stored, and sown from February to April of the following year. When sowing, the plant should be reasonably controlled according to 3 × 3cm. After sowing, the 1cm was mainly covered with fine soil. After about a month or two, the seeds will germinate and the survival rate is very high.

2. Cuttage propagation

The 1-2-year-old sturdy and pest-free stem was cut from the mother plant and cut into a single node of 5cm or 2-3 nodes of 10-15cm as cuttings. The upper end of the cuttings is cut flat, the lower end is cut into an oblique, the pruning tool should be sharp to avoid cracks, the upper section should keep the leaves, and the rest should be cut off. Cut along with cutting, if you can not cut in time, it is best to dip the root with greyish yellow mud, pseudo-planting and dark wet place. The time of cutting is generally before and after the spring rainy season, which can improve the survival rate. The cuttings are trenched according to the row spacing of 15-20cm, and the cuttings are obliquely inserted into the ditch according to the plant spacing of 1-2cm. The cuttings can be covered with a layer of sterilized fine soil, leaving only a small section exposed to the ground. Generally, cuttings can take root after 20 days, and the survival rate is more than 80%.

3. Root propagation

The rhizomes with uniform hypertrophy, undamaged root bark and free from diseases and insect pests were selected as seedlings and cut into 10-15cm segments. Trench the seedbed according to the row spacing of 15-20cm, and then put the cut roots in the trench according to the plant spacing of 5cm. Then cover the soil to compaction, so that the root exposed to the soil 1cm or so.
