Asparagus, also known as asparagus, is a kind of high-grade nutrition and health vegetables with high edible value and nutritional value. in planting production, reasonable fertilization can improve the yield and quality of asparagus and increase income. So how to fertilize asparagus? Let's take a look.

1. Characteristics of fertilizer requirement

The growth and development of asparagus needs to absorb nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from the soil, and sodium is also very important to it. According to the research, every 4000 asparagus production consumes 6.8kg of nitrogen, 1.75kg of phosphorus and 5.94kg of potassium. The maximum fertilizer requirement of asparagus is in the fast-growing period, that is, the stem and leaf growth period. In the same year or the second year after planting, the amount of fertilizer required was only 1/3 or average of the normal amount.

2. Fertilization at seedling stage

In the cultivation of seedlings, the cultivation soil is the basis for the cultivation of strong seedlings, and the culture soil must be rich in nutrition and can be mixed with fertile soil, mature ring fertilizer and livestock and poultry manure according to a certain proportion. After mixing, each cubic meter is mixed with 15-20 kg of dried chicken manure, 0.5-1 kg of calcium superphosphate, 5-10 kg of plant ash or 1-1.5 kg of compound fertilizer, which can fully meet the needs of seedling growth.

3. Fertilization during the growing period

Asparagus likes loose and fertile soil environment, so the soil should be ploughed once before planting. When ploughing, 2000-3000 kg of rotten organic fertilizer per mu should be applied and raked fine and flat. Then in the planting ditch, layer-by-layer application of mature organic fertilizer 3000-4000 kg, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer 40 kg, cake fertilizer 20-50 kg. After planting, the seedlings begin to sprout new branches, and in order to promote their growth, sufficient water and nutrients must be supplied. Urea 8-10 kg or N-P-K compound fertilizer 10-20 kg per mu can be applied.

4. fertilization in adulthood

The fertilization of asparagus in adulthood can be divided into 3-4 times, combined with ploughing or soil cultivation before spring harvest, ditching between rows, applying 20 kg of compound fertilizer and urea per mu, and 1000-1500 kg of rotten organic fertilizer. After stopping harvesting, there is more nutrition consumption in the stored roots, and it is also necessary to supply the nutrients needed by the stems and leaves, so the fertilization during this period should account for about 70% of the annual fertilizer application, with 3000-4000 kg of organic fertilizer and 20 kg of compound fertilizer per mu. In the peak growth season in autumn, in order to ensure its normal growth and accumulate more nutrients, 1000-2000 kg of organic fertilizer and 20 kg of compound fertilizer can be applied per mu before and after autumn.
