Ramet is usually carried out around the beginning of spring and March before sprouting, or at the end of autumn when it stops growing. The mother plant is dug out of the soil with roots and is divided into several small clumps with hands or scissors. Each clump should be transplanted into flowerpots with 3 branches and roots in the lower part.

Intercalation method

Make use of the open space to dig the soil loose and make the soil lump fine and flat. Spread the cut branches evenly on the ground prepared in advance, step on or press the topsoil with objects, and pour water thoroughly. Water is sprayed every other day, and about ten days later, new buds begin to take root and sprout. 25 days later, the first thin fertilizer solution is applied. After 50 days, one thousand times urea is applied to lift the seedlings. Two months later, the seedlings can be transplanted and planted, and four months later, they can be cultivated in pots. In about a year or so, an ideal stump bonsai with hanging roots can be formed. if used as a hedge, it can be formed in half a year.
