Carrots, as one of our most common vegetables, are widely planted in rural areas, but few people grow high-yielding carrots, because many people do not have systematic management and let them grow naturally. There are four more exquisite places for carrots to be high-yielding. Let's learn about them together.

1. Water control

Carrots love the wet environment, and high wetting soil can effectively increase the yield of carrots, so watering carrots must be done frequently and quickly every day. After emergence, the moisture should be controlled at 5-7 days, which can moisten the topsoil. It should be watered about 2-3 times before emergence, and the first watering should be thoroughly watered so that the seeds can be fully moist. Later watering depends on the situation, the normal control is about three times a month, if the soil is relatively humid, it can be properly extended to keep the soil moist for a long time, sufficient water can quickly promote the expansion of carrots.

2. Fertilizer control

As carrots grow faster, sufficient fertilizer can ensure their high yield. The initial base fertilizer must be fully applied, and the quantity should be controlled at the bottom of the pit with 2-3 cm thick farm manure. The frequency of topdressing in the later stage is relatively less, so more fertilizer must be applied each time. The first topdressing is about two weeks after emergence, then it is controlled at about once a month, and fertilizer is stopped about 20 days before harvest to avoid fertilizer redundancy.

3. Weeding

Cleaning up weeds is an extremely important part of carrots, because carrots are more likely to grow weeds and grow faster than many vegetables, so they clean up relatively frequently. When weeding for the first time, the roots need to be cleaned out, taken out of the planting site, and the soil slightly loosened. The subsequent weeding only needs to remove the roots, and above the roots can be landfill and the soil can be used as fertilizer. Every time there are more than 10 centimeters of weeds in the field, a big weeding will be carried out.

4. Temperature control

It is a cruel fact that carrot farmers often die on a large scale because they do not pay attention to the temperature. Therefore, heat preservation has also become a key point for the high yield of carrots. In view of this situation, at present, farmers often cover plastic sheeting at the initial stage and make an opening in each pit after emergence, which can ensure the growth of carrot seedlings and reduce the growth of weeds to a certain extent. It is recommended that you start to try this method when the temperature is below 10 °at night.

There are many places for carrots to be high-yielding, and if the local growth environment is excellent, it is recommended that you choose the seedlings that grow faster, which can be harvested several times and can also be high-yielding.
