Ants must be very familiar to everyone, there are many species of ants, there are more than 10,000 species, there are nearly 700 species of ants in our country alone. Ants are the most common and most common insects on earth, and ant breeding has gradually become a breeding project. Breeding ants is mainly to be used as fertilizer for all kinds of crops, the nutritional value is very high, and some varieties can also be eaten, can treat rheumatism bone pain, prevention and treatment of hepatitis B and so on. Today, the editor brought the method of ant breeding. Let's have a look!

1. Site selection

Ant is a kind of nest insect, a nest has a very large number. However, the establishment of ant nests has certain requirements for the environment, whether in indoor or outdoor breeding, to ensure that there is enough light, and can not place other things to prevent odor. Ants are very sensitive to peculiar smell, and if there is a peculiar smell, it may lead to the death of ants in batches. And the nest must be built in a dry place, as we all know, the body of ants is very small, a little bit of water will disperse the colony, so make sure there is no water around the nest.

two。 Facility preparation

After selecting the breeding site, it is necessary to prepare for the breeding facilities, first of all, use seamless items such as plastic film around the site to build a good flume, control the size of the flume, and ensure that the flume has a certain tilt. This prevents ants from falling into the sink while drinking water. And the sink also needs to have a water change hole. Bamboo or wooden sticks are used to set up the sink and arrange it into a track shape. Control the distance between each frame, and then put an appropriate amount of decaying sand at the bottom to ensure that ants can drink water normally.

3. Making of feeding box

Feeding box can use shoebox, food box or clothing box and other boxes, according to the number of breeding to control the size of each feeding box. Put an appropriate amount of Pinus massoniana in the feeding box, because Masson pine is the most common material used by wild ants to make nests, and it can also be put in some crop straws, which can only be put in the sun to prevent decay and threaten the growth of ants. Pay attention to the tightness of the material, not too tight, otherwise it is difficult for ants to carry and make a nest, then seal the feeding box, keep the exit, control the distance between each feeding box, and prevent the phenomenon of struggle.

4. Feeding and management

Ants eat a wide range of food, eating almost everything, but mainly sweet food. The food intake of ants is the same as that of the body, which is very small. On average, each ant eats less than 0.1 mg a day, but it also depends on the breed and size. Ants are basically fed once every 4 days, and when feeding, put the basin on top of the feeding box, and make sure that all the food can be eaten up each time, otherwise the remaining food is easy to deteriorate. Properly change the type of food, ants eat a kind of food for a long time will become anorexic, and finally would rather starve to death than eat.

The above is a brief introduction to the methods of ant breeding. Ant breeding is not very widespread now, and its market can almost be ignored. So the editor actually does not recommend breeding, but if there are growers who want to raise ants as fertilizer, it is OK, because the nutritional value of thousands of ants is not to be underestimated. Although breeding ants is simple, we must not try it easily, because there is no clear direction for the specific edible value of ants. I hope you will not try blindly.
