In 2011, the New Taipei City nutritious lunch corruption case broke out. After two years of trial, the New Taipei City District Court sentenced at 4 p.m., only 4 of the 38 principals involved in the case (2 people have passed away) were not guilty, and 31 were sentenced to one year in February to 10 years in prison in accordance with the regulations on the crime of embezzlement. Lai Jiehong, the former president of Sixian Primary School in New Taipei City, was sentenced to three months in prison for leaking the list of procurement committee members and was fined by Yi Ke. The whole case is still subject to appeal.

In 2011, when Jisui Primary School in New Taipei City exploded the maggots at the bottom of the nutritious lunch barrel, the New North District Prosecutor's Office took the initiative to investigate and unexpectedly found that many principals of primary and secondary schools in New Taipei City had accepted bribes from manufacturers for a long time, so that the operators could win the bid smoothly.

There were as many as 78 defendants in this case, and 286 witnesses were called successively. 12 principals, including Zeng Maoshan, the former president of the former junior high school, all denied the crime and did not return the proceeds of the crime. In accordance with Article 5, item 1, paragraph 3, of the regulations on the Crime of Corruption, the civil servant was sentenced to a prison term ranging from 7 years April to 10 June for the crime of accepting bribes on duty, and was deprived of public rights. Among them, Zeng Maoshan served the heaviest sentence, accepting 1.7 million bribes and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The rest of the principals admitted to taking bribes, but denied that they were used for nutritious lunch procurement, some surrendered and the proceeds of crime were returned, with sentences ranging from one year to six years.

The judgment of the New North District Court pointed out that in 2002 and 2011, in order to win the bid, some manufacturers turned their minds to the cost of nutritious lunches, calculating bribes on the basis of 7% to 8% (about 3 to 4 yuan) of meals, or even giving away smartphones. If something goes wrong with the meal, the headmaster or the selection committee will secretly cover it up and change it to a lighter punishment, or only verbally ask for improvement, so that the operators can continue to participate in the evaluation next semester.

The bad practice made the collegial panel point directly at "not knowing integrity." the judgment said bluntly: "⋯⋯is responsible for comprehensively managing school affairs, bears the heavy responsibility of cultivating talents, and receives high salaries from the state, so it should be cautious in its words and deeds as an example of the words, deeds and personality of the teachers and students of the whole school, but they do not know how to be honest and accept bribes from central kitchen manufacturers. Their crimes endanger the educational foundation of the nation's hundred-year-old education and the physical and mental development of young students."

In addition to 32 principals found guilty, 26 nutritious lunch suppliers and related staff, procurement committee, academic dean, and general director were also sentenced to sentences ranging from October to March 2007 in accordance with the Corruption regulations. Four principals, Wang Jinming, Liao Wenbin, Chen Haoran and Zeng Xuejiao, were acquitted for lack of evidence.
